Just so you know, the Dow Jones just dropped 500+ points. Other markets are going down with it. So what now escapist? Is the media taking this way out of proportion or should we start loading shotgun shells?
That's what I think too. The thing that's making me uneasy is apocalyptic type news casting is coming from both sides, liberal and conservative. I already know the indie side is definitely going to take advantage of this.Generic Gamer said:500 points isn't an unprecedented drop, that's in sympathy with the French trouble and will recover as soon as the effects of the French economic woes on US interests are known. It's mostly uncertainty at the moment, though if you have cash now's a great time to buy, just be careful what you buy in!
The Dow's still up over this time ten months or longer ago, this is probably only a temporary drop, albeit a large one. Still, that drop is under 5% of the market's total value, the kind of thing one expects in this circumstance. Once Obama announces the next economic recovery plans, firms select new more stable suppliers and the damage is assessed it'll bounce back.
