Im on firefox, but I am not noticing anything.

Web searches I've done appear to state that firefox (or at least some versions/plug-ins) block it completely.

There is a simple way to remove the toolbar for Firefox/Chrome users.

Install GreaseMonkey (it's an addon), then install this script [http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/83596].

The Meebo crapbar will be disabled on all websites that have it, including the stupid highlight-share "feature."

I'm probably going to get banned for this because I dare to defy The Escapist's ridiculous advertising, but enjoy while it lasts, and spread the word.

Yes Yahtzee is a major pull for this site, (it's the reason I first came here even) but he only produces one video a week. The reason myself and quite a few others visit EVERYDAY is for the forums and articles. And as good as those services are I find myself wondering "Are they worth having Meebo on my computer?"

Confirmed for other websites and haven't experienced any Meebo on escapist.

I'm not a pub club member atm.

Edit. It doesn't work. Next thread I went to the meebo bar appeared.

I do also, but i don't consider the articles part of the reason i don't want to leave. It's really the forums. Most of the articles are io9 articles (sometimes days later) and other sites. You can get the same info from them.

I'm sad i might have to leave these forums.

I do not watch him anymore.

He just keeps doing the same all the time (Gets boring in the long run, at least for me) and some of his fans is so annoying (imo)
