I keep hearing that it's going to be released today (June 25th) but since this is Valve we're dealing with I'm not sure they can be trusted with the release of...well, anything.

Exactly. I really don't understand how people keep getting worked up over and over again about all these tiny tid-bits of hints from Valve about stuff that may or may not even exist. They almost always come to nothing. There's obviously something going on right now, since the whole Adult Swim thing, but to jump to conclusions that it has to be Meet The Pyro is a bit premature. People should learn from experience and just wait to see how it all pans out.
Well, it was indicated that something was happening on Monday (there was a message from the pyro on the TF2 web site, and if you decoded it as morse code it spelled "Monday") and most people (including myself) assumed that meant Meet the Pyro was coming out today.idarkphoenixi said:

Of course we didn't see it today. If we had, people would get the false impression that Valve time doesn't exist. Oh Valve, you think of everything.

My opinion on the subject is as follows: Valve will release whatever it is when they feel it is ready, don't rush them and be patient.

It can't be a man, whatever the case that would be the worst, if there was all this fuss and it was just some guy. Same if they don't reveal or pretend to reveal. So clearly Pyro=women is the true way, but so many people expect it, it'd be a more confirmation rather than a surprise or something nice, I think if they bundled it with the things you suggest, it might help. So even if it's not unexpected, it changes the game a little bit in a fun way
