Mega Man Legends 3 Canceled - Damn you CAPCOM!!

Well unfortunate news for 3DS owners and Mega Man Legends fans; it seems MML3 has been canceled. Not even the prototype demo will be released and there is not specific reason given for WHY it was canceled.

I don't own or have much intention of owning a 3DS, but this news saddens me regardless because I'm still a big Mega Man fan let alone Legends. This could have been such a great game, and hopefully CAPCOM might reconsider somewhere down the line but it's doubtful.

So...when is Capcom going to die off? Seriously it seems like they can't do anything but absurdly stupid decisions recently. Well I don't even own a 3DS anyway but this might have been one of the titles I would have gotten on it. Oh well here's to hoping Capcom either wises up or dies off and has to sell all of their IPs to people who have their brains in their heads.

I think Capcom thought that even with all the devoted fans wanting a Legends 3 it still wouldn't be profitable enough because honestly, not a lot of people bought a 3DS. That said, this is extremely disappointing news...first Universe and now this.

I borrow my little siblings Ds when I feel like playing Pokemon Black.. Mega man on the other hand, has kind of gone down the Crapper with Capcom, its basiclly almost dead, and we all sense it.

Well, at least there are a ton of completely new ideas coming out of Capcom these days, Dead Rising 2 with the character from the first, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 with more characters (Probably), and Monster Hunter Portable 3rd in HD! They couldn't have at least released the already "complete" Prototype Version first? I still want to play Dragon's Dogma, but everything else from Capcom leaves me disinterested...

Well, I still have all my ports and remakes for the 3DS to look forward too...

Part of this process includes an assessment of whether the title will go into full production, and is based on a number of criteria with input from different sectors of the company.

Unfortunately it was not felt that the Mega Man Legends 3 Project met the required criteria

Is anyone actually surprised? The obvious warning sign should have been when they announced that they were going to HOLD THE GAME HOSTAGE UNLESS ENOUGH PEOPLE BOUGHT THE DEMO.

Apparently, someone decided that was a bad idea on principle and just shitcanned the entire project.

Well, as far as I'm concerned, they lost me with MML2. Superior combat and level design than 1, but inferior tone, voice-acting, and pacing. Seriously, Megaman Volnutt sounds and acts like he mentally regressed to the age of 6 between games.
So it's honestly no serious loss for me.
