Considering how involved they got the fanbase involved in the development process and said they would make it if Prototype sold well(they didn't even release that) and gave a completely inadequate reason for cancelling. This is a huge slap to the face of the fans, especially to those who sent in ideas. It also doesn't help that Legends is set at the end of the Mega Man timeline and is currently stuck on a cliffhanger that fans have been waiting for 10 years to finally tie up.yuval152 said:I only played megaman as a flash game when i was like 5 or 6
so is this a downer or a good thing?

I wouldn't worry about the series if I were you. Capcom has gold in their hands with Megaman. I bet the reason they stopped working on the title is because they took a look at 3DS sales and calculated a best case scenario that still didn't cover the costs of making the game they have envisioned.FangShadow said:I have no idea what the crap is going on over at capcom. Honestly, with all the bad decisions they've been making lately, it makes me worry about future of the megaman series....( I want another X game...)
as well as DMC and street fighter x tekken....

Maybe you're right. But Mega Man's name is worth money simply because everybody who games knows it. Some time off will make a come back that much more worth it (at least to fans?).DigitalAtlas said:>Two Mega Man titles canceled in one yearWickerton said:Plus... Megaman WILL be back. >No news towards a revival

Mega Man may come back eventually, but Capcom has shown it really has no interest in the character. They're much too busy cashing in on DmC and Street Fighter as well as their other very Western themed games.
Mega Man doesn't fit in with their development style and I feel no team is really interested other than the MML3 team.
Part of me prays we have a Mega Man drought for a few years and then Inafune buys the rights to the franchise. Then, I will die happy.
Even then, I think Capcom is far too interested in making Western-oriented games and giving franchises away to third party development studios. They've lost most of their quirk and it doesn't even seem like any team other than the Legends 3 team has any interest in the character. It's why it seems as if without Inafune the teams just bail on the projects.Wickerton said:Maybe you're right. But Mega Man's name is worth money simply because everybody who games knows it. Absence makes the heart grow fonder?
What's wrong with Catherine? It deserves it. It's a unique concept, it's friggin Atlus, and they deserve some money for localizing niche stuff like that for their fans.DigitalAtlas said:>Catherine is selling great
There is no God.
You mean that new black haired emo junkie Dante In Name Only wuss DMC? ... F*ck Capcom!OutrageousEmu said:No. Dead Rising, DMC, Monster Hunter, these are still going gangbusters.DustyDrB said:Are fighting games the only thing keeping Capcom afloat these days?
Amen to the at brother, even Inafune said that Megaman Legends was his favorite spin off of the series. Maybe if Capcom gets desperate enough to sell Legends off to Inafune, we'll get Legends 3. Hopefully the backlash of rage and anger and drop in sales by boycott(Don't know about you but my money has better use in a fire than a purchase towards a Capcom game.DigitalAtlas said:>Two Mega Man titles canceled in one yearWickerton said:Plus...
