Hello,

Darkwolf9 here and I wanted you to know that my group and I are holding a Mega Man Marathon (Megathon) for Child's Play (kinda like Desert Bus for Hope) beginning this Thursday September 23, 2010 beginning at 12:00 pm Central (-6 GMP) and will continue until Monday morning or when we stop receiving donations. This event will be viewable on www.megamanmarathon.com We'll be playing Mega Man 1-10 and X 1-8 all weekend. I hope to see many of you there and please help to generate more interest. Thank you and wish us luck.

I'll be there to help keep it lively! We need as many viewers/donators as we can get.

I feel awful for whoever has to play X 6-8 (horrible, horrible games), but I'll try to watch and donate if I can.

At this point I just hope we make it to them. Playing first few Mega Men is like driving a drill into your head, just when then pain sets in fully you pass out. Luckily we have a heap of folks at our disposal to help us through this trying time. It'll be fun though.

what no transmission or zero games?
The big issue is that those are gameboy games and we didn't really feel that they were the best to play through. Namely because we would have to bust out more consoles and use an extra camera for the gameboy. As of now we're going to play all of the games from a backwards compatible PS3. If this year goes well, we may up the ante.

if all goes well you should do a run through of command mission. RPGs are great for endurance runs cause they're so fucking long
That's a good idea. We have a copy of it too. HMMMMM... Maybe we could do a command mission marathon at some point. It is pretty easy and plenty you could do in it. Good idea.

I'd also love to see a batten kaitos origins marathon for no other reason than it's a 2 disk gamecube RPG. I'm 20 hours in and I'm still on disk one Q_Q it'd be hilarious to watch someone do that when it gets to the point of sleep deprivation :p
I can honestly say I've never heard of it. We'll back you up if you wanna try it!

Pity. I happen to be very good at X6.

Good luck to all involved in the charity.
We appreciate it. We'll need it.
Especially me, because I'm going into this beast cold. As long as I don't wind up livid and yelling at the game... actually that might be entertaining to some people.

Unless you're just naturally born to play Mega Man I don't think you can be too awesome at it. I'm almost looking forward to the rage quits. Maybe even more so for the stifled obscenities.
