There were some cartoons in the 90's that were great(heavy nostalgia effect).... but died.

What are some of the best you remember.

for me:
Batman
Spiderman
X-Men(best intro song, I don't care how repetitive it was)
Earthworm Jim
Darkwing Duck
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles(worst intro song... nostalgia says the sow was good though)

Samurai Pizza Cats(not sure if this was 90's or 80's)
Megaman(not sure if this was 90's or 80's)

EDIT: Mummies Alive

EDIT2:Beast Wars/Beast Machines and Reboot didn't die, they ended properly as I recall(great shows though)

Dexter's Lab; a precursor to Samurai Jack for Genndy and it was a very funny show sometimes.

Dragon Ball Z; Action show. Straight up.

Animaniacs; Combining comedy and education. Fantastic.

I also seem to recall really liking Yu Yu Hakusho, but I'm not sure if that was 90's or not.

XIII's Number XIV

Not in here, you idiot!

Being born smack in the middle of the decade, I only remember a couple; Dexter's Laboratory and Powerpuff Girls. I also remember watching Cyborg 009 back then. So much awesomeness these shows contained :D

It was '94, I believe. Good show. Didn't take to kindly to their beefy designs, though. XD

Dexter's Laboratory
Who could forget Mandark?

It might be cheating since it's from 1999 but Courage the Cowardly Dog paved the way for nightmare fuel aimed at kids.
I still found this scene hilarious, even at 8-9 years old

EDIT: I am VERY sorry for the last link, didn't watch until after I posted. sorry for the screamer, all fixed now.
I'd imbed the famous "Perfect" scene but it's not as funny and just feels like the writers wanted to make everyone have nightmares for the final episode.
if your curious, here's a link

Again. show aimed at kids.

All of Steven Spielberg's cartoons (Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Freakazoid, etc.), Johnny Bravo, Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Catdog, Rocko's Modern Life, Cow and Chicken; I could go on and on about this.

I'm pretty sure it technically started in the late 80's over in Japan, but didn't get to the US for about a decade after it ended there, don't quote me on this though.

Completely forgot dexter's lab and animaniacs, loved the 'good idea, bad idea' sketches

DBZ was the greatest terrible time... the network would restart back to ep1 every time they got 10 new eps...

Forgot Tiny Toons too.

Yep, Princess What's-Her-Name was made a warrior and earthworm jim was voiced by Dan Castellaneta(Homer Simpson)

Best evil character names:

Professor Monkey-For-A-Head

The Evil Queen Pulsating, Bloated, Festering, Sweaty, Pus-filled, Malformed, Slug-for-a-Butt

SWAT Kats. Need I say more? Best. Show. Ever.
I looked it up on wikipedia but I can't say I've seen that one, might be because I never watched TBS.

This (for some reason) reminded me of biker mice from mars... I don't recall liking that show much though...

I always liked The Pirates of Dark Water. Not sure if it's aged very well though.
As far as I can tell, it is still good. It also still doesn't have an ending, though, so it loses points there. Noy jitat!

Oh man... the late 80s and most of the 90s were the BEST years of kids tv.

Shows like:

Earthworm Jim,
Rocko's Modern Life,
Pirates of Dark Water,
Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors,
Batman: TAS,
Animaniacs

Among others...
