Memories of 2009

As 2009 comes to an end, it is time to look back at the good times and the bad times. Famous celebrities passed away, marriages you thought wouldn't end ended, and we witness the first year of the new black President Barack Obama. What are your most favorite or disgusted moments of this year (can be about personal life or global events).

Finished college, made some new friends and lovers. I generally had a good year with only a few downers!

The year I broke a 14 month dry spell and finally got some. Longest stretch of my life (not counting the years between birth and age 19).

Amazing that it's been a year since I got my phone...

Has been a rough year. My parents divorced, we've moved, my grandfather died, and all our pets have either passed away or been given away.

I think my highlight was Glastonbury festival.

Mostly for the bands and social stuff of course, but also it was impressive how quickly the Michael Jackson fancy dress/dolls etc. sprung up. T-shirt guys must have made a killing.

Well, i've conquered my fear of dogs , so thats a plus.

Although I have forgot alot of the year, not much to remember so all in all a meh year.

Nothing too exciting this year, other than me joining here.

Nothing much really, but then again I'm not exactly an exciting person.

Started with a big downer, slowly went up. I screwed up at school once again, started working, met the most amazing person ever and so found a new dream to work for.

On a lighter note, I also bought a PS3, upgraded my PC, bought an awesome new TV and loads of cool new games, movies and books.

Lost my job and my apartment. 2009 can bite me.

Started off by meeting the most amazing girl, and will end with her still around [touch wood]. Other than that..I got progressively worse at school and joined the Escapist.

Ahh '09, the year of me going into a really destructive phase, being pulled out of that phase by my now ex-girlfriend rather she knows about that or not, the time spent with her, the times with friends I won't soon forget, catching my leg on fire last month, unfinished youtube movies and my realizing that I should start prepping for college now otherwise I'm fucked. Hmm nothin' to shabby methinks.

Met my boyfriend at start of year and he changed my life.
Fringe Festival was amazing, it really helped me with my drama work.
And thats about it

Dumped by old girlfriend at start of year. Got over it pretty quickly, I realised she was a *****, and I met someone else almost immediately afterwards. This relationship lasted until about an hour and a half ago. Fuck you, 2009.

Signed up on the best course in Newcastle college, made new friends, gained a boyfriend (yes Furburt im mentioning him again), got engaged, got my 2nd ever A on and assignment-beating my fiance lol, having the most fun i have ever had in my life.

Yeah i think 2009 is going to be the best year i will have ever had. Yes it came with some problems at the start such as: leaving my job, quiting 6th form due to stress and teacher harrasment, being taken off my E2E course due to illness... arguments with my mother... getting into debt and spending the rest of my savings. But at least the end came out fantastic. Way to start the New Year is with a big bang, and for once it won't be a bad one.
