I had one particularly strange dream last week. I was sat in what felt like a waiting area for the dentist, but it was a room about as big as a sports hall. The only other person there was Piccolo from Dragon Ball Z sitting across from me, and anytime someone walked through the door he'd march over and kick the crap out of them, after which he'd turn to me with an uncharacteristically joyous expression and say something like, "Holy shit, did you SEE what I did to that guy's face!?"

I almost never remember my dreams. The ones I do remember are always fucked up. I've always wondered why that is.

A couple of years ago I had a dream I committed suicide, and I watched myself died in a way, but I wasn't dead-dead, I was ghost dead. Then there was this weird thing, to keep being a ghost, you had to have old of one or more purple disks, and if you lost them or had them taken from you, you vanished.

Someone was trying to steal my disks and pushed me down a staircase, and I can't remember the rest. It was very strange.

Heh. Can't quite describe what I've seen or heard. All I remember is the blackness that stood out against complete darkness, some vague recollection of twisted shapes formed from it, and the sheer incomprehensible terror I felt upon waking up. I couldn't even move. Not pleasant.

I've had this really disturbing dream about two weeks ago and it was really scary. I was staying in an hotel. From my bed I could look outside the window, which was looking out over the ground floor. Just next to that window was the entrance to the room.

Now, my dream, somehow I woke up in my room, regaining consciousness and I stare at my surroundings (it was my second or third night there and waking up in a new place is always a bit disorienting). I realised that it was still night so I wanted to fall back to sleep. Then I turned on my back and my eyes glazed over and something at the window caught my attention. What I saw standing outside of the window was the pale, disfigured monster from Amnesia: the dark descent, staring straight at me.

I kind of realised it was a dream by then, but still, it must've been the scariest nightmare I've ever had.

recent dream I had was when a baby tiger was strapped to a bomb.. and the fuse was lit on fire. I dosed it with my bottle of water. Then the baby tiger bit off my balls.... apparently it didn't like being soaked.

another one I remember while back involves a soccer star that happened to be my roommate's cousin playing for 2010 world cup. For some reason he needed help on math homework (yeah.. it doesn't make sense. but then the cousin doesn't exist in real life). He had a giant U.S. team bus parked outside my house with his teammates waiting on him and everything..
Since I'm proficient in math so I help him out. After that he claims "Whoa, math is amazing! I'm going to quit playing professional Soccer and become a math teacher!"

Yep! I had a dream that I ruined U.S. soccer team.

I very rarely remember my dreams and when I do its only the nightmares, which are usually very simple "There's some unmentionable, lovecraftian horror going on and I can only panic and scream until I wake up" dreams.

I had on recently were I was a scientist or something doing home researches on types of wasps and bees and I got my assignments from my cat at the bottom of the stairs. Until one day, the cat was meowing like crazy so I went down to check what was wrong but he just wanted out so as I was about to open the back door, my cat gave me the finger and ran away and left me to discover a MASSIVE queen bee was standing behind me with a knife and fork and said "Time to die".

It was pretty awesome, especially seeing it now in words.

I barely ever remember my dreams, but if I do remember them, they ALWAYS involve dinosaurs in some way. Sometimes I'm the king of the dinosaurs, sometimes I'm a caveman living in a world filled with dinosaurs and I'm just trying to survive, sometimes everyone just has dinosaur heads.

My favourite dream had me as a meteorite and I just flew around the universe, smashing things. I killed the dinosaurs, I killed Uranus (honestly, fuck Uranus), and I smashed several gods in the face. It was a lot of fun.

I once had a dream that I was flying on a broomstick when suddenly a huge aerial battle being fought by dragons surrounded me and then a fell of the broomstick onto the ground but there was this guy in a weird suit but then he started peeling it off and it turns out it was his skin and than he took an unnaturally big smile on his face and asked "want a hug?".

I thought it was fucking awesome.

For me, being in a scary dream is like playing a horror game. Terrifying, but in a fun way. Horrifying dreams are my favourite.

I don't fully understand all this stuff about not being able to remember dreams, I had that dream when I was 6. If I enjoy the dream I'll remember it.

The recent fucked up dream I've had, involved strapping Twilight Sparkle down and sawing off her horn. I've had several really, really bad dreams involving the main cast from MLP...

The most recent one I can remember involved spider crabs. I don't remember much but I remember that they were climbing on Zoidberg from Futurama, then one climbed on me and I woke up in a panic trying to get spider crabs off me.

One I remember from a wild back involved a giant spider giving a rose to Justine out of the Tracy Beaker series. I don't remember anything else.

The recurring theme seems to be spiders. I'm terrified of spiders. I think my brain hates me.

Basically...

I was the captain of some kind of elite force of space marines tasked with tracking down and detaining mutant humans and then putting them in concentration camps where we execute them (these weren't X-men mutants, these were super strong dudes with 3 arms or half a head etc). During one mission we were ambushed by the mutants and most of my squad was wiped out, I escaped into a huge cavern where we dump the executed mutants.

I came out of the cavern in the middle of a concentration camp, I'm sneaking around when Trunks and Goten show up and start fooling around, I tell them off and tell them to follow me. We meet up with another squad that's raiding one of the mutant's houses, inside is a girl (she's a mutant but you can't tell by looking at her) around 16 or 17, I get a bad feeling an sneak into the next room with Trunks and Goten as the rest of the squad is telling her to comply.

A few moments after I close the door I could hear screaming and could feel people being thrown up against the wall, I pull Trunks and Goten to the ground and we hide in the corner of the room until everything goes quiet. A few seconds later I can hear her outside walking past the window of the room we're in. I think she's passed until she breaks through the window and pins my head to the floor with a massive insect leg she's grown. She goes on about how humans like me are evil, how the mutants are victims and how she should kill Trunks, Goten and I. I beg for her to let the two kids go, she lifts her leg off my head and tells us to go.

As we step through the first room full of dismembered corpses strewn all over she knocks me down again and pins my head to the blood soaked floor again saying she was only letting the kids go. (this is when things start getting scary for me) I somehow press the PS button and think I've stopped time, but she hasn't stopped. I keep pressing the button but I can't escape and then I wake up shaking.

Why did I bother to write all this?

I had a weird... I guess, dreams, all in one morning. See, I had these dreams because I was basically slipping in and out of conciousness.

I had basically passed out because of a migraine and was sleeping in bed. I woke up at I think it was 4 o'clock. I rolled out of bed, walked into the lounge room and this freakin' black fog closed in on me. I tried to run to my mum's room but was surrounded by the fog.

I woke up and said, "Few, just a dream." Rolled outta bed, walked towards my mum's room and as I tried to open the door Mr. Fuck Off Fog came and blocked it, with red eyes and an evil laugh. I tried to run again, and got surrounded. I'm not sure why... but I remember exactly. 4:36.

I woke up AGAIN! And walked out into the living room. Then walked around. And then walked around to my bed and went back to sleep. I think I really was awake at this time. 5 o'clock

I woke up once more and walked out into the lounge room. I stood there for a moment and yelled, "YOU WANNA FUCKING GO ME FOG?!" Then I heard creaking. The living room room was collapsing in on me. I was crushed. 6 o'clock

I woke up again. Walked into my mums room. Mum wasn't there. My brothers room. Daniel wasn't there. Called mum on my phone. The phone wouldn't ring. Tried the home phone. It wouldn't ring. I went to the kitchen, pulled out milk, cornflakes and sugar, and sat down. I ate that then went back to bed. I think it was 7 o'clock

I woke up again and everything was normal. Mum was there, no fog, the roof was fine. But then I walked down to the kitchen. The milk, cornflakes and sugar were still sitting on the table. I asked mum, and she said they were there when she walked down here. It was 8:30.

I know for a fact I was awake (for real, not dream) at 7, because the food was still there. But... why the fuck wasn't anyone home? And why didn't the phones work? And I think that all my computer and TV wouldn't work.

That was probably the most mind fucking moment in my life.

I MUST SOLVE THE ..... DREAM?

OR IS IT?!

Oh yeah, and then there was the game.

I dreamed I was in a game, then I wasn't then I was.

It started with me in a basment, with some deranged vampire women walking around... muttering and holding a baby. I sneaked out, almost getting killed, and regrouped outside. It was my house... and there was a fucking vampire army outside.

I knew there was something. Have you ever felt like there is something at the back of your head, and you can't pin it down, and the more you think about it, the more it goes away? That's what happened. There was a feeling. I got up on my balcony. Stood on the ledge. I wasn't sure why, but I jumped, Mirror's Edge style, hit the ground and it went black.

I cheered as I saw my desktop! But for some reason, there was the Dawn Of War screen there (The install and play mini thing) But instead of a space marine standing there as the picture, it was some giant, dark, robot thing. The mouse kept moving towards the play button, and I tried to stop it, but it clicked play, and things went black.

I was in my garage. My mum was there with her skis on and there were two eldar with hover bikes, some USMC marines, some Halo marines, Space Marines, some other dudes and we were all braced for combat. Someone shouted something and the roller door opened, and we charged into the vampire army outside.

We slaughtered them, then the rest fled. I ran up and pointed out to two really old station wagons and shouted, "WE NEED TWO KILL TEAMS! MOVE MOVE MO-" and looked up. The giant robot thingy from the start screen was stomping towards us. Then a HUD appeared, and I ran inside the house. Across my screen it said, "Flying through the air are..... undead shells?!?" as the robot thing fired (It looked like a ball with four, HUGE legs.)

I ran into my dad's room and he looked at me with weird eyes and then grabbed me and said, "When I was bitten, it felt weird. The vampires bones were hollow." And bit me.

I was then out the front, as a vampire, talking to the vampire leader. Little objectives popped up in the corner, like "Talk to the leader." As I started to talk, I switched to third person. Then I fell over and screamed. Everyone knows the Inspector Gadget starting right? With all the cogs and machines?

Imagine that with blood running everywhere and a screaming and stomping in the background. Then I switched back to me, still screaming on the ground. The vampire leader said I needed to feed, then said something about a town.

A fucking loading screen appeared. It had some writing about my "mission." It said something like, "You and the vampire leader are going to the town o-" I couldn't read anymore because the load finished. Also, there was a pic of two vampires sneaking in shadows next to the load bar.

Then I woke up.

Fuck. That. Was. Weird.

Most of the dreams I remember consist of plausible romantic scenarios that I want to happen but can't make happen for various reasons. Mostly cowardice.

I've had two that are particularly fucked up. The first is quite funny, the second however really chills me to the core.

Okay so the first, I was standing ontop of a waterfall and at the very edge was some sort of stand with naked women at it... I walk up to the stand and find out that the women are pornstars and that the stand was selling the opportunity to cycle off of the top of the waterfall with a pornstar strapped to your back. I of course took part.

The second one really worries me, I can't remember it too well as it happened a long time ago and I've tried to forget it. Basically I was walking somewhere on a really grey day, the ground I was walking on was really muddy.. Suddenly though I heard this chilling scream, I had no idea where it was coming from until I looked down...

(Bare with me here this is where it gets really fucked up)

There were babies in the mud (maybe even made of mud?) and no matter how much I tried to avoid it, I was killing them accidentally. I had never felt such a feeling of guilt before in my life.... Needless to say, when I woke up I was really worried that my brain could come up with something like that.

When I was younger (between 5 and 10) my dreams were haunted by two things: one was a large toy orangutan that constantly tried to kill me (the worst part was that toy actually existed, it sat in my room), the other was a massive warehouse so filled with stuff it was impossible to walk through. Inside this warehouse I would constantly hear disembodied voices saying creepy stuff.
Recently I was sneaking onboard a cargo ship held by terrorists and hostages with only a silenced pistol and killing them all. I even saw the bullet holes in their heads. And I knew the people I was killing. A few days earlier I was part of a bank robbery like the one in the movie Heat.
It's amazing what the subconcious can think up in dreams.

That's some fucked up stuff. But then again, who are we to question the creativity of the subconcious. I suppose you didn't question what you were doing whilst you were dreaming, only when you woke up.
