Kojima just posted that on Twitter. What's your take? A collection of all the games on the PS4 and Xbone? I am personally hopping for some sort of collection on Steam, I've always wanted to play all the Metal Gear games, they'd be guranteed huge sales on Steam and would also get a lot of people stoked for The Phantom Pain.

Well, it specifically says Metal Gear, not Metal Gear Solid. So does this have anything to do with those rumors a while back about Metal Gear 1 and 2 getting a grapical overhaul? I heard that wasn't happening, but who knows.

Metal Gear? Perhaps we'll finally be able to listen to the monologues of the likes of Dirty Duck and the Machinegun Kid in why they fight for the ideals of Big Boss... you know...I say this but I'd totally mark if mentioned characters actually were in say Phantom pain for example and than showed up in a Metal Gear remake as boss fights.

Seriously though, how many times are they going to repackage older Metal Gear games? If it does come to PC, then that'd be sweet, especially following the announcement of MGS V having a PC version. Full remakes of the original Metal Gear games would be cool too, but... well, Kojima has a history of having a lot of fun with bait-and-switching his fans, so I'll just be waiting until there's anything more to actually see.

Seriously though, how many times are they going to repackage older Metal Gear games? If it does come to PC, then that'd be sweet, especially following the announcement of MGS V having a PC version. Full remakes of the original Metal Gear games would be cool too, but... well, Kojima has a history of having a lot of fun with bait-and-switching his fans, so I'll just be waiting until there's anything more to actually see.

If they redid all the games in an HD engine they could fairly easily just use assets from MGS1 and 2 to make the Metal Gear remakes. Also given MGS4 came out in like...2008 and the PS3 is a last gen console, exclusivity might not be an issue any more. If they released MGS1 2 3 and 4 in a single package for PC, Xbone and PS4 that'd get people playing the games and buying them, hopefully leading to more Phantom Pain sales for them.

Well, if it's Metal Gear, as in the MSX titles, that wouldn't be an overhaul, it'd be a complete remake, and I doubt that would be releasing any time this year. But yeah, fingers crossed for a PC port of 4, and the HD collection.

They might. PC gaming is a constantly growing market and they are releasing MGSV on the PC. And that game is also being developed for PS3 and Xbox 360 as well. So it's not like they're not gonna make a shitload of money.
But the install base for PS4/Xbone is still not that great. And if they're confident enough that enough PC gamers want MGSV, they should be able to figure out we want the rest of the games on the PC as well.

On the other hand, this might not be Metal Gear Solid at all. It could be the remake of first two Metal Gear games. The rumors have been flying around for at least a year.

I'd love a collection of all the previous Metal Gear games (including Revengeance. RULES OF NATURE!) for next-gen. That'd be pretty fucking great.

Which means it's probably a range of clothing or some shit, knowing Kojima.
