did they seriously set that to Portishead? THIS IS GOING TO BE AMAZING
I personnaly LOVED Metro 2033. Sure it had some glitch issues and some things that didnt made much sense, but the game is a unapreciated GEM... I loved exploring the tunnels, the ambient, the enemies, the music, the "Roar feeling" (its when youre in a group with low chances of survival, but then someone gives you a speech, that just ignites an inferno within youre heart, making you fight with every single muscle of youre body, till you drop dead or win the battle... whatever happens first), the ending, EVERYTHING... even the outdoors with the mask filtration system (wich i find to be a very realistic and awesome mechanic)...

Dont care what reviewers say about it, dont care what everyone says about it, i love the game and im going to love this one has well!!!

I'm currently reading the book, several times completed the game. Let's go. Although the trailer is rubbish.
I didn't got a lot of problems with metro 2033, if this one is the same quality than the previous, than i'm a happy man already. Hopefully a lot of things have been balanced out. But the shouldn't have left much of there horror roots.

I absolutely loved the first game! can't effin wait!

I hope this one is much better optimized also. In the first game, even on low it chugged my rig.
When i saw the trailer i just went bananas.... and since the escapist forums has people with acctually good taste, and some good senses, i figured i could share this has quickly has i could!!! xD

I loved the first game (glitched a little for me...), and even tough it grabbed my computer from behind and raped it witouth any protection (litteraly), i will love this one, and enjoy every single moment of it... like on the first one (the moments after each battle were golden to me, and i enjoyed them like that guy did for that last twinkies on zombieland... xD

Uh huh.

I liked Metro 2033 and I'm interested in the sequel.

That said, that has to be the worst trailer I've ever seen.
Agreed on all points, that trailer almost gave me a seizure.

Aye saw this earlier and can't wait, 2033 was amazing and one of my favourite games of last year. It was a shame it was so underappreciated, Too bad they are only going with the 'bad' ending for this one but it was in line with the book so I guess it makes sense.

Yesssss..

I know THQ said they'd be making a sequel like a month after the 2033 was released, but still its nice to see some screenshots and a trailer.

Metro 2033 was easily the most underrated games of 2010, and my one of two honorable mentions for game of the year. It had plenty of little flaws to it, but the game was so damn atmospheric you could choke on it (literally and figuratively too) and had such a unique feel I couldn't help but love it. Also one of the genuinely creepy games ever made. Not as bad as System Shock 2 but close.

Very much looking forward to this, but I don't see a release date... End of this year mayhaps, so hold me over for Mass Effect 3? After all, Metro saved me from my gaming slump after ME2, so that would be some excellent symmetry.

I can't wait! I just finished Metro 2033 a ½ hour ago and I loved every minute of it. The atmosphere, the graphics and the story of that game are just amazing. What's not to love when it seems we get more of it?

was the first one any good? I wanted to play it but never got around to it.
I personally loved it, and the other guy who I know is playing it loves it as well.
Yeah some of the stuff didn't work correctly all the time, yes some dogs were too fast for their own good.
But the game is one of the few FPSs with an actual storyline, as well as good stealth elements (it reminds me of Thief), and the gas masks are... I found them kinda fun actually.

Minor:
But for some weird reason you do fight Nazi's, but whatever
