What the fucking fuck. Okay so it appears that the situation in mexico is so fucked, that drug cartels are now murdering bloggers for criticizing them. Anonymous, or a cell of it, declared war on the cartel after it kidnapped a member of the group. The cartel seemed to call the bluff of anonymous and decided to murder him and hang his body from a bridge where two other bloggers were murdered.

God damn it Mexico. This after all the news I posted about the cartels kidnapping young men from busses to force them into underground gladiatorial arenas.

So thoughts?

No one said this world was all sunshine and rainbows. Fortunately, there is still a lot of good in this world people do daily (This is the majority, believe it or not), but is granted little attention. Unfortunately, if you could battle organizations with such evil practices so easily and stomp it out, there wouldn't be any organizations practicing such methods.

Given that the violence is spilling over into the U.S. I posit that fighting that specific cartel as we would Al Quadea should be our next move.

Although we should still legalize drugs.
but why would we? they don't have any oil o.o

Just so you know, they have been killing bloggers for the last few years for all sorts of different reasons.

This may not be related to anonymous at all.

Afghanistan doesn't have any oil either, didn't stop them that time.

What the US can do about this:
1 Legalise whatever the cartels try to sell
2 Send some marines in to hunt them down
3 Send in more bloggers than they can kill
4 ?????????????????????????????????????????
5 PROFIT

So...major drug cartels in Mexico are serious business?

Can't say I'm that surprised. Though, they now have access to US weapons provided to them as part of a crap intelligence scheme.

Good old idealistic, once again messing around in politics without thinking of the long-term ramifications. It must really suck to live in Mexico right now.

yes, but it does have an optimal location for a $2bil oil pipeline going from central Asia (thru Afghanistan) to the US

I think if you agitate a bear, you shouldn't be surprised if it decides to bite. As admirable as it was for Anonymous to get involved, if they weren't expecting something like this to happen, perhaps getting involved with "real-life" events isn't their thing.

Going off of this, the Cartel is a very real, very dangerous problem right now. They make the Al Quaeda look like High School bullies.

And they quite frankly don't care who knows it.

This is why we shouldn't fuck with cartels.
On the contrary, I think this is exactly the reason why we should fuck with the Cartel. No group of humans should be allowed to do what they do.

Note to self:
Maximize distance between Myself and Mexico at all times.

In all seriousness, doesn't the Mexican Government have anything to say about this? What the fuck are those guys doing?
