MGG=REVIEWS-THE DARKNESS
so the new news is that if you drink brandy or some sort of alcohol you reviews get better since am not aloud any I sit here writing this review drinking fizzy (full of sugar) coke?a? cola so excuse me if the review goes kind of wired at the end? so lets get on with it before I run out of coke and fall asleep.

Have you ever wondered what lurks in the shadows what watches you behind your back? 2kgames [http://www.2kgames.com/] The darkness is a grizzly FPS horror with a twist. You play as Jackie Estacado a mafia goon whose uncle is the head of the cities most powerful mafia family. One Jackie?s 21st birthday wasn?t like any other, with a mix up with a payment Jackie?s uncle wants him dead when Jackie?s almost at the edge of death then the infamous darkness kicks in changing Jackie into a demon of the night.

The darkness is a creature that basically survives in the dark so do expect to play most of the game in the dark. The darkness is two demon heads that rest on Jackie?s shoulders and talk to Jackie. The darkness also comes with powers
· The creeping dark- this one of the heads on the side of Jackie scouts ahead to kill or unlock certain objects
· The tentacle- is a tentacle that lunges out to instantly kill any opponent
· The darkness guns- these gun uses the power of the darkness. They act as suck normal guns but are more powerful
· The black hole- this is a hole which sucks in all objects and human or demons in the area

The other thing Jackie has powers over is fore little demons that comes from holes that consist in the darkness Jackie can call these demon to fight for him. Each demon has different abilities that will help Jackie through the game

The darkness can regarge by either eating hearts or hiding in the dark which if fully charged can give you a great advantage over the enemy.

The gun controls are easy since the HUD automatically locks on to the targets head making it easier to take out enemies making the game a lot easier

The voice over really are lip synced with the characters it is really detailed even if you muted you TV you would know what they were saying (not really of course). The darkness is voiced by mike patton (who also voiced the undead in I am legend)

The graphics of the darkness are amazing no frame rate issues makes the darkness a game worth playing the gore of the darkness can make a scary situation turn even more scarier.

The darkness gives you an advantage and I would expect you would finish in 6 hours depending on what game mode you play on.

A concise and informative review.

The only thing else that I think should rate a mention is Jackie's relationship with Jennifer. I think it's right up there with the Gordon/Alyx connection in terms of being one of the few games that captures the true intimacy of a human relationship.

Also, your reviews are becoming more and more like the synopsis off the back of game boxes, or for that matter; short descriptions you might find on other video game site that might sell said games.
actually the last review i used the back of the game box but i rewrote it so i didn't really take it but this review is didn't use the back of the box

Well dude that ain't cool. You can't plagiarise a box and call it your own work, even if you did "rewrite" it. Whereas this review is better. but I don't think you legally can play this game. The same can be said for Stubbs the Zombie, Games for Windows, Mass Effect, Assassins Creed etc etc.

You've worked on your sentence structure and general writing techniques but your reviews still lack the Information and the bulk a review should contain. Your reviews are not mini reviews, they are more or less half arsed game reviews that you write up in an afternoon.

At least you're doting your 'i's now. Only one thing; this is a blurb, not a review. You sound like you're trying to sell the game. Next time add some content.

The hell. How is this a review?
It's not. I think the MODs allow him to stay here as an example of what should not be done and the consequences that follow.
How is that helpful?

Anyone with a scrap of sense would admit that MGG's reviews are improving. Why not encourage him more rather than lambasting him because it's not as good as it could be?

First we have to cut him down so we can build him up. We're cruel like that.

Really? My apologies then, I had thought this was the User Reviews forum on the Escapist, not the SAS.

Because in the past he has ignored offers of help and support, and called us names while bombarding us with low quality posts. This time around it is not a review but a description of the game, not as bad as many but still sub-par, and his responses to comments have been decent. Therefore I conclude this will fade away, or at least leave the first page. Am I preventing my prophecy by posting on this? Yes, but I'm not all that invested in it anyway.

Still, he has stuck around even though we continuously flame him, where other trolls have perished. Perhaps he could (and is) learning something out of this and we can all send him to University or something, or it could be the entirly opposite thing.
