I'm confused by all of this to be perfectly honest.

He made some good music, the music is still around.
He hasnt made anything good recently (In my opinion) so he could've lived for 100 more years and never made another good song.

Do people feel that because they listen to someones music that they deserve to know the person?

No offence to any bands but why should anyone who doesnt know them personally care atall about them, i certainly only care about their music.

This has gone too far. As someone born in the 90's I can't say I was truelly touched by Michael (no pun) but clearly some people where, but this is just ridiculous now. and to open this up. How do you think he actually died ? serious or not so serious suggestions welcome.

I have experienced suicide first hand in my immediate family and the person was not weak. They had a mental illness that poisoned thier mind and made thier life a torturous living hell.

No medication worked, no doctors were able to help, nothing could ease his constant suffering.

And you just basically told me that person deserved no pity.

Usually I would continue the slagging match a little longer for some giggles but I've just realised I have no wish to spend more time on a person who thinks like this.

I admit that rational thought doesn't beget suicide, but you need to remember the context. People do it in the name of sacrifice. They'd only be nuts by our (or, in this case, your) standards. Terrorists blow themselves up in the name of religion. They're not nuts because they believe it'll please a god (so it's a case of teachings and holy delusions, plus a sex drive for the afterlife.).

But remember, given the correct context, anything can be explained. It's all subjective.
