I can't believe you until a source is posted. When they DO say they will, I'll consider the Xbox One as a console I would buy.

EDIT: They just put it on the news. YAY!

Anonymous as always, but all Microsoft leaks before the the reveal (that turned out true for the most part) were also anonymous.

I'm waiting to hear this out. The original article just says 'Sources say' with no source cited. After all of their talk about it being 'necessary' I can't imagine they would do a 180 like this.

But Microsoft! What about all the advantages you were telling us about and how you said it was all necessary and worth it. Surely Microsoft couldn't be backpeddling and contradicting themselves!

Joking aside if they do this I'll look on the system less harshly but my money is still on the PS4.

Firstly, let's see what they 'officially' say. Everything that has come out of their traps so far has been pure obfuscation. I can't imagine doing a full 180 on all the backroom deals and stuff they've done with the publishers is going to go down too well.

Second, they are still $100 more than Sony

Third. What happened to all the 'I don't care if Microsoft backtracks on all their shitty policies, they've shown their true colours, and I'd never buy anything from again on principle,' comments?

Forth. Remember the 'We reserve the right to change any of our policies, whenever we like' small print

Wow. Just WOW.

I expected this might happen, EVENTUALLY...like, 1-2 years from now after this realized "Hey, this isn't working". Guess they wised up a bit sooner then that.

I'm incredibly surprised. I may seriously consider purchasing now, I already have my PS4 launch edition paid for...so, I might wait for price drop, but I no longer have reason to outright hate the Xbone, which makes me much happier :)

Don't care either way. Still not getting an XB1. Seeing how far you can push things in such a blatant manner means you lose all of my trust. You don't try and fuck me in the ass, say you're sorry and ask for a hug and expect a fucking hug.

I may actually now pick up an Xbox One now that these policies have been changed. But not for at least a year after launch and I want the PS4 first.

Well at least they got this bit of the PR right. Far better to capitulate now than later.
Still got my xbone and ps4 preorder in. The xbone one was likely to be cancelled, at least till titanfall came out.

Now it will stay.

Well I guess now we just pray that they take the StalkerCam off the console. The kinect is probably the main deciding factor now.

As I said on another forum, I was still hopping anyway since I couldn't care less about the XBone exclusives of Halo/Forza/GoW. Also, that they did this in the first place is horrible.

Once upon a time, there was a kid named Xbone. One day, he Sh*t his pants. Xbone was proud of the mess he'd made, so he ran around the school yard sticking his sh*tpants in everyone's face.
Nobody liked Xbone and he got sad, so he said "I'm sorry! I'll bring clean pants to school tomorrow, I Promise!" but nobody cared, because he was still the creepy kid that had chased them around with sh*tpants.

A few of the kids eventually let Xbone off the hook, but most were just too creeped out to ever be friends with Xbone again.

My main problem is what Microsoft's definition of an "offline Xbox One game" is. So if it has a crowbarred in Multiplay mode is it classed as online? Or if it's an indie game with no multiplayer that you by on the XBLA it's bought online, paly while online?

Edit: Didn't read the bottmo part about the XBLA but my first question stands

I'm with you on this. And since the Kinect is there to stay, I'm definitely giving it a pass.

My main problem with it is that I have to buy the thing even though it won't even work in the space I have between my chair and TV. So basically I'll never use it but still have to pay money for it.
