Holy fuck Kaenu Reeves is in this game.

Didn't realize CD project had "hire Keanu Reeves" kind of money. I guess they're trying to cross from "make niche RPG game with 1-2 millions sales" to "make big release game with 5-10 millions sales", which kinda makes sense since there's also the witcher TV series which should help put there name on the map for more soft core gamer. But it could backfire spectacularly if the game doesn't move that many unit, they might have borrowed quite a bit and are betting the company future on it.

But for myself, don't care much for that, famous people in video game don't really do anything for me, even when I like the actor. An NPC is more define by it's writing and role in the plot than by whether or not they're model after someone famous. I also doubt they paid him to do the mo cap, so it's just voice and look.

CDPR is also GOG, ya know that thing thats the main competitor (? similar thing) to Steam.

Apparently GOG doesn't actually make very much money. It basically just breaks even with its operation costs.

Thinking they could have made TES6 by now if they didn't make those two games is very disappointing. Thankfully, Elden Ring exists now so my life is complete.

It surprised me. i mean last year reveal was underwelming but now it looks alot better. looking forward to more. as i already said it is bound to be best CDPR game.

John Wick isn?t some art house flick for the Cannes crowd; it?s an action movie, and its action kicks ass. As far as what he?s doing In Cyberpunk 2077, chances are even if his acting isn?t any better than his recent movies, it?d still be no worse than some of the worst acting in The Witcher series.

Ultimately didn?t hurt much there.

Him being in Cyberpunk is surprising because the devs seem to want us to take the game seriously, with a serious grrr grim story and character and settings. But Keanu is like a Borderlands character. Just completely off message if the message is 'take this seriously'
Like I said earlier its like having Rob Schnieder as a new Spartan in a Halo game.

Thing about Keanu and a lot of other big name 'actors' is that they don't really act that much. They just play themselves over and over. They are just charismatic, good looking or fit and make a living off just being cool. Real actors to me are people who can adopt completely different personas, different voices, different mannerisms. But whatever, its fine I like him.

Keanu was in Johnny Mnemonic, which was a cyberpunk film that came out just as the original version genre stopped being relevant, so it's fitting that he's also in CDProjekt's juvenile looking attempt to pretend two decades of postcyberpunk didn't happen.

There is no guarantee of quality anywhere, but CD Project is one of the few companies out there that (presently) has a reliable track record of producing great games despite massive development times.
