Cue fansubs of the Japanese PS3 version!
Seriously. That would be much obliged.
Fansubs for PS3 Vesperia has existed for years. I looked it up initially but since you need to jailbreak your PS3 to get around the damn region locked software issue, it wasn't worth it in the end. So I just borrowed my friend's Japanese PS3 and played iton that.

The main reason people wanted the PS3 version was because it was an upgraded version of the 360 game. There were extra playable characters, extra skits, missions and all sorts of neat stuff, it looked gorgeous on the 360 but on the PS3 it was breathtaking. Really a fantastic game that I wish didn't have to relish in obscurity in the west.

Wait I thought PS3's weren't region locked, wouldn't the problem be the translated version triggering a lock?

Wow, why so much Microsoft hate here, when Sony does exactly the same with its exclusives? Its called good buisness from both Microsoft/Sony's point of view (get more hardwere sales/users) and the publishers (garenteed income.) Both sides as bad/good as each other.

It's NOT the same thing.

An exclusive game is fine, I am perfectly alright with Halo and Gears only being on the 360. This however is a game WITH A PS3 VERSION! It is not like this does not exist, Microsoft did not stop them from developing it, it's been sold in Japan. Imagine if I made Two pieces of bread for 2 people. but person 1 paid me not to give the bread to person 2. THAT is what is going on here. In the case of NORMAL exclusives, I made bread for only 1 person. Sure person 2 has to suck a fat one, maybe Person 1 paid me to make bread for him only, but it's okay because I never made bread for the second person!

Really? Guess I never tried looking for them. I'd totally consider getting it if the region lock problem didn't exist.
Wanna lend me that JPS3? :p

Personally, I can never get enough -- "generic preteen filled JRPG" [@gphjr14] -- to each his own, I guess. Luckily for us fans, "Tales of Vasperia" don't fit in that category. Unlike most FPS's...but like I said, to each is own.
