Costs less if you buy with gold, but do you keep the game if you no longer have gold? That's not how "free" gold games work. Stop the gold subscription, you don't keep the game.

You keep your games that you buy if you don't have Gold anymore (even if you used a "Gold" discount to buy them).

The only games you lose if you lose Gold are the Free ones that are with your subscription. You do get them back if you re-subscribe to Gold but if they were the free Games with Gold game, you can't access it if you let your Gold expire.

You should keep it, yes. The deals are still normal purchases but cheapers cause you're subscribing to their whateverydoos special club. :)

Just wanted to point out Tippy's info is inaccurate in my experience, I let my gold lapse back in june because I got more into some PC games I was playing (and to focus on finishing my degree...finally graduated this month woo) and I still have access to all the games i got free through gold (though I do believe the free games through PS + work as described in his post)

What happens to my Games with Gold games if I cancel my Xbox Live Gold subscription?

On Xbox One, you?ll no longer be able to access your Games with Gold titles if you cancel your subscription. However, if you decide to renew your subscription at any time, you?ll be able to access and play your previously redeemed Games with Gold titles again.

On Xbox 360, any Games with Gold titles that you redeem as an Xbox Live Gold member are yours to keep, regardless of whether you continue your subscription.
