The new microsoft interactive thing, if its real, is soooo huge.
Like an eye toy but so much better
Imagine a game like oblivion but like this, every character like what they say milo is.
I hope theyre not bullshiting us, but they probably are :(

I just saw it on IGN live streaming, though I only know what they are telling us. Oblivion is just wishful thinking

If they have the option of switching the Milo kid for an actual licensed character, that would be truly epic.

"Microsoft Interactive Thing?"
I have no idea what's going on.
Could some super-genius man please fill me in on Microsoft's latest developings in the field of interactive things?

Wii is obsolete, Sony is in serious trouble.
And I say this as someone who doesn't own an Xbox360, and up until about half an hour ago really didn't want one.

And it's all speculation at the moment obviously, but if the tech exists, surely it'd just be a case of changing the skin of the character to make it look like anyone from any game...? Could be very exciting indeed. Much happier with this conference than the one that unveiled the new dashboard! :)

meh it could be used to make good hardcore games but most likely it will turn out to be like the wii most games being gimmicks and shovel-ware, just think of all the programming it would take to recognize all the possible things you could use in a dialog for every interaction in a game like oblivion. and if the game is going to restrict what you can reply with, then wouldn't be better to just have the dialog choices and select the one you want rather than hear a npc say "I don't understand" or "what?" every time you reply with what you really want to say. but, I am a pessimist and it could turn out to be the greatest thing since the wheel.

Am I the only one that doesn't think this will be the 2nd coming? It seems interesting but more like interacting with a rendered video.

Milo is sooo cute ^^....and a bit creepy.
If they let me talk to a cute lady instead I would be happy. Or the Doctor. I can talk to him too.

That NATAL thing looked like a cheap gimmick for MS to get more casual gamers. Having said that, give it a while and a decent developer could do great things with it. I'm remaining skeptical of Peter Molly-new-ex's "Milo", but it can't be denied that AI of that intelligence, if implemented properly and not used as a gimmick, could be amazing.

For those of you who didn't watch E3, I'll give you a little summary. NATAL(?) uses a motion sensor that will use your body as the controller. Think off the old itoy game on the PS2 mixed with the wii. The default games were cheesy things such as a "3d breakout" and a painting game. Peter Molly-new-ex's studio, Lionhead, have used the technology to make an AI, a seemingly good one, that can recognise you and react to emotion in your voice.

I'm sorry, but this would never make me want to buy a 360, in fact it discourages me from getting one even more.

I made an error on the heading, in hindsight it should have been "Microsoft, this could be huge but seriously don't get your hopes up"

This is way more than an eyetoy. It has face recognition, voice recognition. It can understand various objects and place them in game as well, examples included paper and a skateboard. Simply saying 'dark brown' changed the colour of paint. It even can detect 3D movement as well.

Just by seeing your face it will log you onto the 360. Use your hands to navigate the menu system.

It blows the eyetoy and wiimote out of the water.
