I guess I'd be fine with a Halo remake, but I personally am pulling for it to be news on that MechWarrior game that we all heard so much about a couple years ago....and then nothing....Okay, so one of the mechs looked like one of the mechs from some anime, but god-fucking-dammit, if that's the reason why I won't see a new MechWarrior game I will go apeshit on everyone even associated with that damn cartoon.

But yea, news on MechWarrior would be fantastic.

Not entirely sure if I'll be getting it. I mean, Halo 1 ranks up there as one of my favorite games of all time, and I don't want it to be ruined by some company who just makes another hackjob shooter.

Besides, there's something about the old, very minimal (compared to later Xbox games, and especially modern games) graphics, and everything just feels so good about the game. It needs no remake, it stands up today in every single way. At least in my opinion.

As far as I'm concerned, if they preserve the game as much as possible and add working competitive multiplayer over LIVE, it would be an amazingly fantastic thing.

Otherwise, there seems little point to the endeavour.

Hope you don't mind DustyDrB, but I've whittled your post down to that one sentence. Everyone take a closer look at that "circuitry". Look at that layout, clearly you can make out tables, computer here and there, doors, etc.

Give up? That (well to me anyways) looks like the area where you have to find Meryl to continue onto Psycho Mantis. Even the green color of the layout reminds me of the soliton radar, all this from Metal Gear Solid 1. I'll scour around the internet and see if I can find some radar stills from that particular area to compare them with the magazines background.

I'ma guess it's not Halo the First. One, there's that descriptor "...best games ever made." I don't want to get into a thing about the quality of Halo but I--and probably a lot of people--don't think it garners that descriptor. That phrase indicates all gaming, of all time. Halo is very recent, as both a single installment and a franchise that's pumped out a lot of sequels and spinoffs in a short period. Then there's that word "reborn," which has me thinking it's something that hasn't even been seen on a console.

So I'm holding out for System Shock 2. It will never happen. But if it did...
