Luckily, Zordon had a cameo in Far Cry 2 as the guy who gives you assassination missions from the Com towers... lol.
I used to love this show. What, are they on the 30th season now, or what? It was over the top, predictable (other than the ending of Turbo, where they actually lose), but it had a charm and was a blast to watch when I was a kid. I had so many damn Power Ranger toys... hell, my parents even got a recording of me singing the theme song when I was like 6 (which, upon discovering some 10 years later, I hid in my closet from the world).

Power Rangers: Time Force could've easily been the coolest iteration of the franchise.
When it was first announced back in 2000 I'm guessing, I thought the the idea of the bad guys traveling back in time and altering history so they can "RUL3 TE ERTHS!!11!!" was totally fucking sweet! All that was going through my mind at that point was "OMG! The rangers fighting bad guys in the civil war and dark ages! Megazords doing battle in Anciet Rome and the times of dinosaurs!"
Looking back today, I can see my expections were a little, oh how should I put it... Controversial, edgey, hole wridden, expensive, and WAAAY too much to ask for from a weekly Staturday morningcartoon show. But damnit I was young and what was supposed to expect from a show called TIME Force? Besides, they couldn't have missed the point any worse even if it was in the opposite direction and a completely different point all together.
The first episode starts in the future and near the end the rangers travel to boring old 2001;
Then stay there.
For a bazzilion episodes.
Then they travel to the times of dinosaurs for two Megazord battle-free episodes.
Then it's back to boring old 2001 where the show ends.
If there was a time in my childhood where all I could do was /facpalm, that was one of them.

I don't think it was meant to be offensive (The Red Ranger wasn't an an Indian and didn't live on a reservation, the Black ranger didn't have to use separate yet equal morphing powers) so calling it racist would be just a bit much. Its kind of how a new kid is automatically popular because he's new. It just doesn't seem like the best thing in the world show-wise.sir.rutthed said:
Don't get me wrong, I still liked the show even after the White Ranger showed up. But you have to admit, there was a level of "color coordinating". Black ranger was black and break danced, pink was a preppy blonde, yellow was Asian, white was white.newfoundsky said:

one of the old episodes aired when i was up one morning and I watched it and shed one manly tear for my childhood.

I was one of the few kids in my hometown who hated the Power Rangers. I don't know man, I just liked Dragonball Z better XD
I watched Power Rangers obsessively up until the end of the Lost Galaxy season. Most people I speak to on the subject point to Lost Galaxy as the tipping point of quality, being that it was the very first Power Ranger season to sever all ties with the original series. I remember liking it a lot, though, and upon retrospect, it still seems pretty intense. Lots of deaths in that season, a very prominent theme of passing the torch.
The MMPR video game is what really gets my nostalgia going, though.
Me and my siblings used to play the hell out of this one. For a game based on a children's show based on a Japanese sentai show, it's surprisingly good.
