Hey, I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out with this issue I've had with MC for months now.
I'm getting a black screen whenever I try to run minecraft. It loads Java and then the screen flashes white for a second and then it freezes on black screen. My CPU usage goes through the roof and I have to end the java.exe process to actually exit the program.
I'm playing the paid version via browser (firefox). I was able to play minecraft for ages and then one day this happened and I couldn't fix it. I gave up and didn't try it again up 'til now (about four months later). I've never tried to install mods or texture packs as the downloaded version of MC never worked for me but the browser version did.
I tried the "delete the bin folder" trick and that hasn't worked. I have the most up to date version of Java as well and my RAM is fine. Never had any troubles beyond this and the downloaded version.
If anyone knows how to fix this could you please walk me through the steps?
