So last night a thread about this game was started

But nobody responded saying anything about the game. So I'm asking for anyone who has played this game to give us their opinion of it. Is it as good as minecraft? Is it really just a massive scam to put viruses on your computer (it is made by two anons, just saying)? Any help would be appreciated.

It's a pretty fun game I think. Has quite a bit of potential, but at the moment there are some issues the main one being that it's almost impossible to join a server.

I started the thread, its really good I played it for 3 hours. Rock Paper Shotgun made an article about it.

Edit: the guide was made by anons, not the actual game itself.

There is a ton of potential here. Player-Adaptable FPS multiplayer maps? Very interesting.

I ran a server for it one night, and got up to 32 people. It consisted of a lot of tunnel-digging competitions. Most were very linear, but there was one awesome part where teams were fighting through this 8-wide, 3-tall tunnel complete with walls set up for cover.

I think the maps I played were skewed against blue, since green starts near water; thus there's no way for blue to tunnel in.

I haven't tried it yet because visually it looks offensivley bad. It just looks like lumps of colour thrown together. I do like how minecraft looks, it has a nice artistic style, it works well for the game, but for this, it just looks awful. I couldn't distinguish what anything was until I seen that guide thing. It needs details, outlines, something to make everything more recognisable from the amorphous mass of blocky colours.

Yeah, so Norton Antivirus delete the installation file everytime I download it from the link on ace-spades.com. Can anyone help me on telling Norton to stop doing this? I'm a n00b at PC gaming so I could just be making a stupid mistake, any help is appreciated.

I checked it out at the suggestion of the Rockpapershotgun post. It's obviously very raw in it's current state, but there's a real sense of genius about the game. I think this is going to be big.

Considering I had always thought the idea of an FPS with Minecraft's block-based map editing system would be an absolutely awesome idea, consider me intrigued.

The game's website is down apparently, because it keeps giving a 'connection reset' error when i try to join.

Yeah, I went on /v/, and apparently some asshole is DDosing the site and bragging about it.

I have absolutely no fucking idea why someone from 4chan want to troll other people /sarcasm.

And after I racked up a total playtime of 7 minutes.

I think the bland look of the textures gives the game an atmospheric feel. War isn't exactly a stroll down Orange County. That said, it could use a few more details but this was only released a week ago. Give it a try folks, what do you have to lose? Its free after all.
