Ugh... all my worlds got deleted... I have some awesome (according to others *shyface*) pixel art and a spiral on my sig map, but that's in Sauerbraten which is kiiiiinda like Minecraft, but it's an FPS and way more free. The best part is the dynamic ingame map editing, it's a brilliant engine. Play it or die.

I really want Minecraft, but can't buy it due to the fact my Paypal account was compromised :(

However I do like this Portal Still Alive composition created using the Note Blocks http://bit.ly/h9ZQTz

:)

Alright, I don't know if this has been done, but I created floorless hallways! I started thinking a glass-bottom pathway above my lands would be cool, but after experimenting with ladders for a bit...

I figured I could make a floating corridor in which the ladders were the only thing holding me up, a clear view down with none of that particle blur glass sometimes has.

So, I cut out the floor and added a roof to prevent slipping out of the thing by any other way than the drop.
Here's one entrance.

Here is a view of the outside, it doubles as a walkway.

You can even turn and go up and down. It can be a little tricky.

The other end.

A view from the ground.

What is it about Minecraft threads that attract necro'ing?

Anyway, mine's a WIP Nether fortress with under-lava tunnels. I'll get pictures later.

Alright, here are the pictures I promised.

Here is an outside view (looks better from above). Looks plain, I plan on adding lava and waterfalls over the side, plus decorating the front with some stone patterns.

Here's a brief view of the lava tunnels, which is simple to make using doors. It's a huge WIP, as I plan on making it a lot longer.

This is a stairway I made when I saw that a bit of lava was falling from the top, so rather than get rid of it I encased it in glass and put stairs around it.

And here's a shot taken from the threshold of the fortress. As you can see, the inside is empty, because I just recently finished laying the walls, floor, battlements, and a bit of the lava tunnels.

Texture pack: Mixcraft Realism

Yes, I used an inventory hacker (TooManyItems), because that would've take SHITLOADS of smooth stone.

mine are pretty bad, but here:
my castle, apart from the hacked ice to replace windows, all of it was mined and cooked legitimately.

and here's my first house on that server, which has been creepered many times, burned down, rebuilt, and burned down again, then rebuilt with what materials I had. Don't make a wooden house then use flint and steel to destroy the items you don't want, seriously, bad stuff happens. also, what's left of the mountain, half of it being gone from mining the stone for said castle. netherrack replacing where the burning trees used to be.

This is my normal house to use:

and this is one of the tunnels connecting my houses, which I spend a lot of time in.

Edit: oh, and my little cottage:
My creations are boring and are generally just hollowed out natural features, but I thought I'd contribute anyway.

42x42 solid sandstone pyramid with gold cap. Turned a desert upsidedown for this.

Behold! Cower in fear before my Doom Fortress! http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/402/doomfortress.jpg/ Inside I am in the process of hollowing out the entire mountain and building a lavish palace. And some super villain stuff.
