It has come to my attention that at least one other person here plays Minecraft.

So lets have a post your creations thread for Minecraft, I'm sure those of you who play have built some pretty awesome stuff.

Creations from either Classic or Alpha are welcome!

Here's mine (in spoilers).

I want to add a lava moat to deal with those damn creeepers.
The entrance.
The top level. I'm beginning to mine it top-down to completely empty out the hill.
A walkway to my auxiliary mine.
My dock.
My primary farm, attached to my dock.
Harbor again. I want to add some boats.
The 'secret' entrance.
The tunnel.
The mini-base.
The walkway.
My humble cloth hut.
I want to flatten this island, make it a tree farm, hallow it out, and build an underground city.

The ascention.

Night shot.
The streets.
What the sign says.
It houses nine furnaces.
The central fountain. Also creates the water elevators.
Bottom floor of the library.
The top floor.
Space uplink dish. Just because.
My other-other farm. It has imported water.
And finally,
The fine arts section of hte floating base. I have yet to install a record player.

I'll have some day time shots of the base from the outside once I wake up.

What have you guys built?

EDIT: The offical Minecraft site is here.

Impressive stuff. I've only ever tooled around with the free web version of the game. Is adventure mode, or whatever it's called with the creepers, really that much different and worth the cost?

I'm all for supporting good indie developers.

It's a Sandbox/survival indie game. There's currently two versions, Alpha (survival), and Classic (creative). Creative is free, and played in browser. Alpha requires purchase, but includes enemies that spawn at night, limited blocks (which require mining to get), and some other things. In Classic, you just build things with unlimited blocks, and you used to be able to fly. That might have been taken out.

There is no point to Minecraft Alpha. You just stay alive and build cool things if you want. You can explore too, as it is an infinite world procedurally generated.

I like it just because it forces me to mine and such. I didn't really play Creative. I think it has some more complex mechanics, like redstone wires to make circuits. The main difference is just you have to get your materials from the environment rather than having unlimited blocks.

It costs something like 10 euros since its in alpha, the developer is someone called Notch, so its only one person...

Unfortunately no screenshots but I?ve made a few castles, some houses, a few pieces of pixel art, some other things that just follow a pattern and a giant blue slushy.

The best I have a screenshot for is this TF2 dispenser:
However, I never got round to building the other side of it. :p

I don't have anything near as good as you because I do pixel art.

All of these are on the same server I'm an Admin on.
The very first thing I made on Minecraft.
I also have a red version of this sprite
About 5 lines of his helmet had to be cut off due to a height limit I didn't know about.
A few days after making this, I changed all of the sand blocks for more purple/pink ones. It looks much better. Also, all of that crap you see around it was to protect it until the server owner saw it.

I have a few more, but my home server has been having some connection issues lately.

The flying you witnessed were hacks which are extremely welcome in most servers.

That's pretty awesome. I tried some pixel art, but I gave up after a while.

Any who, I planted the majority of my tree farm after flattening the island.

My server was up for a while, so I decided to try something decently difficult. I found a reference picture and I made a Mech from Mechwarrior. Unfortunately, the server went down before I could take some pictures of it. Also forgot to take a picture of my Sakura from King of Fighters. :[

The stuff in this topic is pretty impressive. I've built plenty of things in both classic mode and survival mode, but I've never really made screenshots so I don't have anything to show off.

If you're an avid Minecraft player, you should join the usergroup http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Minecraft-Appreciation-Club , I've just posted details of a survival multiplayer server that I'm hosting in the chat, so if you've bought the game be sure to pay that a visit.
