Minecraft Question!

This is a simple question but i thought i should ask it here...

The question is, "What's easier on your computer, Fast graphics or Fancy"?

The names make no sence to me? There 2 diffrent words in 2 diffrent catagories, why cant it be Bad, Okay, Good, Great... Where the hell did they get fast and fancy from? But whatever can anyone answer this question because my game lag's a tad so i want to tune the graphics down a bit.

Well fast is cheap, quick and easy.
Fancy implies more elegance and a greater effort required.
You might be better off just changing the draw distance.

I've seen a few games and other apps do this and you're right, it is a tad confusing.
I believe its a case of choosing worse but it'll run faster graphics as opposed to fancy graphics but it'll slow down the game.

It is a bit unessential really and would be best done as something like a slider back in the old days/some other titles

yeah i already have it at normal
