Why must the Minecraft community shatter my ego with their beautiful, creative buildings and the way they present them in videos.

WHY?

A marvel of coordination. I'm guessing this was on an unlimited resource server though right?

I hate watching these videos, because, while they are awesome, I'll never build anything as good as that. EVER.

If they're going to do time-lapse, it would almost be better to turn off night/day cycles. It's cool to see how many "days" it took them, but during the night parts some of it is hard to see.

Still, pretty damn impressive.

Meh. It's hard to still be impressed after having seen Minecraft Middle Earth.

Enter the Mines of Moria and have your spirit crushed!

Most of the terraforming was done by hand plus they mention they have reached a point where minecraft won't create any more land for them. Probably not going to get beat soon.

That train station is now the most awesome thing I have ever seen in Minecraft, and that includes the Middle Earth video that was shown a couple of days ago.

I belive they used "cheats" (walking on air. infinite bloks... etc) but they still put lots of hard work and time into this.

The only other thing I saw that was more awesome then this is 16 bit ALU (part of the CPU) made in minecraft.

Just watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGkkyKZVzug

He doesnt have much charisma but its much better then trainstation.

And this is why I love Minecraft. :)

It's my latest gaming addiction. I've only been pottering around in single player mainly. I've made myself a couple of castles, some on floating islands; some houses and tunnels, canals.

But then yesterday I decided to try playing online at escapecraft.com (a server I saw here, actually) and: well, the word is 'wow'. I only had a brief stumble around one of their worlds, but I saw some amazingly built areas nonetheless.

Can any escapists recommend other good minecraft servers?

Well, I was feeling pretty proud of my awesome castle-fortress-thing I built for my friends and the various subsequent piston traps I constructed nearby.

Not anymore though. Goddamnit -_-"
