Minecraft-what should I build?

I just started a new world in Minecraft, and I need some suggestions on what to build for a big project. I have previously done a lot of the 'standard' things (tower, house, mining complex, etc.), and I want something new.

So, any thoughts/advice?

Or a giant penis!

Create some sort of mob trap, collect lots and lots of gunpowder, make TNT, blow up the world.

Here's some ideas:
Castle
Treehouse on top of a lot of trees
Huge mayan-style temple
Or if really have a lot of time to waste:
A huge replica of something
A city in the sky
Build 1x1 towers to the clouds every now and then, and connect them with a minecart system at the very top.

Edit: And if you really, REALLY have a lot of time to waste, build something big out of pure obsidian or iron/gold/diamond blocks.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, and I would like to add that, while I would prefer to start this new world with a somewhat more manageable project, I am filing away any really big suggestions for the next long weekend or holiday.

Build a city.

I remember some dudes were building the Imperial Capital from Oblivion, or something.

Hollow out a big mountain, knock off two sides and build hanging gardens.

Or a forest held up by two cloth pillars hanging from the top of the mountains.

Or even a functioning hanging greenhouse.

i just finished building a huge clifside with a massive waterfall coming off it and a house in the middle with the water coming around it, it looks cool and was loadsa fun, try something like that?

Can't go wrong with a good old fashioned fortress dug into the side of a mountain with turrets jutting out and waterfalls flowing from the battlements.

Also if you replace the water with lava you can make it a Death-Fortress
