I used to play it a lot and now I think of things I want to build, log on, get into my worlds and suddenly lose the motivation. Maybe I've just been generating crappy worlds lately but I'm sure if SMP didn't blue screen my computer I'd play it much more often.

its shamus young's multiplayer server, big news actually, currently it is a large creative only server, soon we shall have a second survival multiplayer server with linked chat and portals, so yer, great fun, basically griefer free and with great moderators, very welcoming, give it a try if you wish, im sure everyone will welcome you

Anyway, on to Minecraft - It's awesome Definitely a masterpiece, although I find I'm addicted to repeatedly starting new worlds over and over. The feeling of first exploring the landscape in front of you and just throwing up some half made fortifications is awesome.

It is a fun game but at some point I get the feeling that I have done everything there is to do. I mean I have a huge mine a castle 1/3 built, two monster traps, a nether base, and an underwater base/mine (small). So what else is there to do other than set up minecarts and keep mining out the nether?

I think I just need a new toy to play with in the game.

I tried the free version, it sucked in my opinion. I usually like going around building things, but it takes too long to get anything done in Minecraft.

I know the actual game is better, but the point of the free version was to get me to buy the game.

When its new, its a blast. 2 weeks later, its a way to waste time. It's gameplay is extremely repetitive and isn't a whole lot more than a virtual map editor. The main problem with the game is its true value comes from its potential rather than what it actually delivers. This game might end up pretty awesome but it is too much of a skeleton of a game to be getting the praise it is receiving so far. It simply has yet to deliver.

I like the game, however I have began to anti-praise it due to slow updates with content and especially after the remark Notch made about if some quota gets hit, he'll add cake. Cake. That is like 20 minutes of coding for this game. How about you just add it anyways? Consider milk and eggs do nothing right now. I fear Notch thinking his game is golden as is due to the praise and I think it would be a shame to have him think "Eh, its already good enough."

Anyway, i don't mind the game. It's got a lot of booooring shit, but i actually had fun building a farm and hiding in my house at night before watching cows clamber around on the freshly sown soil. I killed so many cows that night...
