Finding animal abusing scum is great (infact its probably one of the best things the internet have produced) but this is totally different.

To be fair this isn't actually 4chan ( /b/) it's just a group of angry children who weren't beat enough as a child throwing their dummy out the pram. Minecraft creator should just take away all the toys to show them who is boss.

No, this is not 4chan, on a whole I'd say that the majority of 4chan actually like and support Minecraft judging from the amount of 'post pics of your creations' threads that get set up daily, plus there haven't been any threads proposing a raid of Minecraft, everyone's too busy spamming 'Gene simmons arrested for cp'.

Surely this is the problem with selling something while it's in the alpha stage of development. I don't own the game and haven't checked the Terms and Conditions for it but my understanding would be thus:
The money for the alpha is taken in exchange for the current-state game and the promise that this alpha will be worked on until it reaches a finished state.

The problem here is obvious: how will it be decided to be finished? What's to stop Notch turning around tomorrow and saying BAM! gold release it's done. Or does he really expect this to be his project for the rest of his life, years after anyone still interested wants to buy the game he's having to spend time adding new content/fixing stuff?

I can't see how the business plan of this works. It involves taking money for something that isn't finished and has no definable finished state. Either the creator will get screwed, or the customers. Even if there is a time when 95% of the fans are happy with the game to go into final release and relinquish all expectation of updates, that last 5% will froth and foam and cry foul all over the internet.

Yeah, well, the thing about Anonymous is there are so many "newfags" as it were, claiming to be a part of it that what we knew as Anonymous is more than likely dozens of separate groups all taking that title. It has been speculated that few of the original who began the name "Anonymous" are now inactive, but the group lives on through the name being hi-jacked. So my point is, for all intents and purposes, these people are Anonymous, since that group has lost all meaning and acts now define it, not names, so yeah, you're right.

Anywho, OT: This is clearly just the work of someone who's bored and was looking for a smoking gun. It shows cowardice that they attacked not only one of the most original, successful games on the market, but one by an Indie group. Seriously, an Indie corporation doesn't supply the goods right away, and it's attacked. I don't see Blizzard being down for days because they didn't catch up on their bug fixes.

maybe hel start making people pay for add on packs and sequals while he upgrades the main game or maybe he'll start charging subscription fees for multiplayer.
