"Mirror's Edge" Demo.

Anyone tried it? I absolutely fell in love with this game the moment I first laid eyes on the first gameplay trailer, and the demo definitely re-assures me that I didn't waste five dollars on the pre-order.

On that note, anyone think this game has a chance of getting a positive review from Yahtzee? I mean, that isn't to say that I don't think Yahtzee won't find something about the game to niggle about, but at face value, it does have elements to it that makes it his type of game i.e. a game that does something completely different from every other game in the market and a heroine that looks like a person we'd see in real life. I'm quite sure that he'd enjoy it a damned lot more than that brainless piece of garbage, Gears of War 2.

I like it, but I can see alot of criticism coming it's way. It's got alot of the same problems Breakdown did, mainly that hand to hand combat can feel a little overwhelming at times (I played it twice, it almost makes me dizzy if I sit a little too close to the monitor). I found the tutorial level to be pretty tedious too, and ended up skipping it.

I liked the demo though. The controls and the "runners view" made it quite a bit of fun, and I was surprised how much I liked the anime intro to the level.

Yup, I played the Mirror's Edge demo multiple times and most if not all of my worries have vanished from it.

Mostly I was afraid they would screw up the controls, but it's very easy with alot of depth to it. I was also afraid that after playing it once that I wouldn't want to play it again because the game would be very linear, but every time I play I always try to get myself faster and faster than before.

It's definately on my list.

Both my brother and I agree: This game will fucking rock. The demo has convinced us of this. The controls were easy enough to grasp, the "Runner vision" means that you don't (often) make fatal mistake and combat is generally interesting, for what little there was on the demo.

The "Leaps of Faith" between buildings and the skill-rolls (yes, I do believe that's their name) were thoroughly jerking. In a good way. I really enjoyed it.

I enjoyed it, and will be buying it. Had a lot of fun.

I'm quite sure that he'd enjoy it a damned lot more than that brainless piece of garbage, Gears of War 2.

Assuming D/C means disconnect, it's because that game has Live functionality, and they don't want your, for example, Halo match to lag because of a demo download.

I personally already LOVE this game. its such a rush going through roof tops like that. I'm going to make sure i don't read a single review about it though. Over the Years these over aged (yeah i said it) reviewers sound like fucking babies when it comes to games. I cant blame anyone for doing thier job, but some of thier critisims just make me wonder sometimes...how halo 3 gets a perfect score still boggles my mind in comparison to other shooters that outshine it in Story line, characters and grahpics.. but hey i guess its all about "Multiplayer Frat Boy parties"... ugh.

I loved it, though I have some doubts about the controls. One of the things that bothered me is that rolling after landing a jump and letting go of a ledge both use the left trigger. This shouldn't be a problem in most occasions, but it can be a bit annoying in certain situations.

Its great. Played it trough many times. Great fun and hope it keeps up the same good level desing in the full version. Totally gonna buy it.

Theres only two things that bother me. One, the controls feel a li'l sticky at some points, and two is EA. Yea EA scares me a li'l 'cause as we all know EA can fuck great sounding games totally.

But yea. Definetly gonna buy it when it comes out.

I enjoyed the stylized look during previews but was apprehensive about the gameplay. I have been turned around and now am fully looking forward to this game.

Anyone on the fence should certainly play the demo.

Really fun and seems original.

Nope they're making a PC version of it, but it doesn't drop until December 11th
