I have run into the, "I play COD so I am an expert at guns," type. Luckily they were reasonable and they willingly let me fill them in on the actual characteristics of the guns they were discussing.
This. A million time this. 'Oh, what have you been playing recently?', 'Stop playing games and do something else'. Yes, It is possible to use computers for other things than games. I have no idea why is it so hard for people to realise that, and they act so surprised when I tell them I don't have a game I'm currently actively playing. Like, what else is there to do, right? Good lord.Louie Clark said:I hate when people assume that's the only thing I do or use a computer for. I repair radars and 3D printers, and spend a lot of my work time and free time on a computer. I do a lot more than play some stupid mmo and eat Cheetos.
Also, everyone I've tried to get into gaming at all always assumes they are all super complicated, and just refuses to try things I recommend.
