This. A million time this. 'Oh, what have you been playing recently?', 'Stop playing games and do something else'. Yes, It is possible to use computers for other things than games. I have no idea why is it so hard for people to realise that, and they act so surprised when I tell them I don't have a game I'm currently actively playing. Like, what else is there to do, right? The part about gamers being fat-lazy-asocial people is one I disagree with too, but it doesn't really bug me as much since I am practically a sociopath who fits the description, but I can sympathize with you if you actually don't.

I do grow wary of the "gamers are training to kill by using these murder simulators", yeah, I have never fired a gun in my life, have no clue where I would get one but playing a game will definitely make me into Rambo.
Well, people tend to assume that just because I'm a gamer, I must be some sort of computer wizard. I can see why they might come to me for some slightly-above-basic computer help if I were a PC gamer, but I'm not. I own a PS3, and frankly, I barely know anything about computers. That still doesn't stop people from asking me for computer help for the 10th time in one day, but oh well. There are worse gamer stereotypes people could apply to me, I suppose.
That because I play violent video games, I am becoming desensitized to violence and I'm eventually going to freak out an kill everyone I know. First, I hate any sort of violence in real life, I could barely go through black hawk down without leaving the room. I am also sure that I will never ever kill anyone most likely.
