Some people think they can change someone else's game because they are loyal fans.

Some people think America is 'God's Country'.

Some Facebook users think the Rage Comic Faces are called 'Facebook Faces'.

There is a thread going on at the moment in this forum section where the term 'Atheist' is misused greatly.

"You're depressed? You should learn to face your problems."
To be fair the whole ideal of being "depressed" has become devalued so much, most people don't realise that it is actually a medical condition, and not just about teenagers complaining that their lives suck and that they are the only ones in the world with typical teenage problems.

That I am a Canadian and thus I automatically love beer, which I actually revile!

It is statistically, a fair enough assumption, although they should maybe ask you to confirm their prejudices first xP.
I know very few people who don't drink tea here, and the look of horror on many peoples faces when they say they don't is pretty hilarious xP
I'm British. I'm a gentleman. I'm sarcastic and cynical. BUT I do not like tea, or crumpets.

OT: when I tell people I have sociopathic amorality, they either take that to mean full blown sociopath unable to understand emotion, with no morals, or they think I'm a school shooting waiting to happen. It's quite tiring, really.

The fact is I do adhere to a stringent moral compass, and I feel my emotions very strongly.
Could you explain what Sociopathic amorality is? I'm actually quite curious.

*Ahem*
Not all German people are stereotypical lederhosen-wearing, beer-swilling, sauerkraut-scoffing Bavarians!!

I used to not like tea. Turns out I couldn't fight my birthright however :D
Same here. I never used to like or drink tea but now? Yeah, I do all the time. It's in my genes or something, I swear.

OT: I have to deal with constant misconceptions around the fact that I'm gay. Mostly from ignorant morons, but occasionally people will harmlessly stereotype me. I don't mind that so much because often the stereotypes are kind of true in relation to my life, but I still find it kind of annoying at times. I don't love musicals because I'm gay! I love them because they're fantastic.

Off-topic: My captcha code is "Riff-Raff" and I'm currently listening to the Rocky Horror soundtrack... weird.

Again, I merely jest.

I don't mind people being anti smoking but when they are evangelical about it thats when it pisses me off :p in fact any form of evangelism pisses me off.

Its like i don't preach to you about your lifestyle choices please have the same respect.

i'm a transsexual (MtF). people automatically assume that i'm super-duper girly, love wearing dresses, am only interested in things that are pretty, pink and otherwise over-compensating in an uber-girlish, ultra-feminine manner.

when in fact i'm a transsexual tomboy. I rarely wear dresses, though i'm not opposed to them, I play games a lot, i swear rather frequently, and i'm not what youi could really be called traditionally feminine.

One more from me, the idea that you can draw a sword from a sheath strapped to your back, ala Link, Ocarina of Time
you can...

but not the kind of sword link has, and not the kind of sheath he uses. needs to be a short sword, and a sheath that doesn't actually completely cover it.

also, if you look closely, you will notice his word actually moves through the sheath, leading me to believe that the master sword's sheath is magical, and nobody has noticed or cared.

OT: That, just because i have long hair (varies between small nub of a ponytail to shoulder length pony tail, to the rare hip length pony tail/braid) doesn't make me: Gay, Bisexual, a cross dresser, a hippie, etc. It just means that I'm lazy and a pony tail is easy to maintain.

Also, i didn't start liking horses/ponies after MLP:FIM became popular, as i have been around them since i can remember, and have always found them fascinating.
The cartoon ones i enjoy for different reasons. Also, liking MLP:FIM doesn't make me gay, a pedophile, etc

One-on-one conversations with the opposite sex (or really one-on-one anything, like dinner/etc) is automatically "oh, so what's going on between you two?" Because it's absolutely impossible to have dinner with a friend or go for a walk or something with a friend who happens to be your prefered sex and NOT have there be something going on, right?
Another misconception is whether or not there is something going on between you and some one else that it is some how your friend's business and they have every right to harass you until you tell them.

I'm a bisexual woman, therefore I'm immediately up for a threesome, need to be in relationships with men and women at the same time, am unable to commit to one person, and/or am doing all this because I'm either confused, an attention whore, or I want to titillate men. Seriously, even some other gay people (I use the word "gay" to mean anything other than heterosexual) believe that last one.

Also, I'm an atheist, therefore I have no concept of morality. Some Christians really have come out with this crap. I put it to you that if the only reason you pay any attention to morality is because you're scared God is checking up on you, you're not really a very nice person.

I'm a feminist, therefore I'm a ball-crushing manhater and/or a "hairy lesbian."

I don't want children for a number of reasons I won't go into here. Suffice it to say that it's NOT a case of desperately suppressing my "maternal instinct" (because every single woman has that all the time, right?) because I want more disposable income or whatever. But yeah, I'll "grow out of it," I'm "selfish," I'll "change my mind once the old bodyclock starts ticking," and even if I don't I should have a kid anyway because if I don't I'll end up being "bitter" and "full of regret" in my old age. Now, I can't GUARANTEE that I won't change my mind, because I can't see into the future. Similarly, I can't 100% PROVE there's no god or whatever. But I'd rather not have people write off my position completely.

The one I seem to run a lot is that gay couples have one playing the man and the other playing a woman.

I have been asked so many times 'So, which one is the woman and which one the man', that I just tell them "It's kinda the point in homosexual relationships that both are the same sex"

I have asperger's, therefore I self-diagnosed myself like all the other socially awkward people looking for an excuse. - professionally diagnosed, it's mild but noticeable.
Also this. I don't usually bring it up anyway, partly because of that, but mostly because I don't think it's anyone else's bussiness.

What I do tell people is that I have face blindness and have trouble recognizing people, because it can otherwise lead to misunderstandings.

Here let out one up we can likely all understand.

You play video games. are you like 13 or something? do they make game for people your age? Tournaments that pay money for video games but they require no skill! You must be nonathletic. Do you fear social contact.

Yeah I am about 7 year under the average age for a gamer at 25, yeah they have been making more mature games for like 15 fucking years, awesome want play Starcraft? it should have a random outcome as no skill is involved, I can outlast you if we got lost in the woods but i must admit you are likely better at Golf than i am, like the time i meat about 30 of my guild mates non of whom i had spoken to in person?
