Uhm... Perhaps Demo/rocket jumping? Using the blast damage to launch yourself long distances and then having maps based around that ability where the goal is simply to get from point A to point B. I do quite love Demo jumping...

I don't know, Valve pretty much made Rocket jumping and sticky jumping so effective on purpose, it was more discovered back in the Quake days I believe.
Perhaps the stickies use as one of the greatest offensive weapons in the game I'd say, when it was designed as a defensive trap laying weapon, and is the demo's secondary even. Stickies are godly. The scottish resistance is a lot closer to the original idea of how stickies would be used.
Uber chaining is another fun tactic; Firstly you build an uber then use it on another medic. He uses his ubersaw melee, which grants 25% charge on hit. after 4 hits he does the same thing to his mate and this is repeated as much as possible. In congested areas this can be quite hilarious [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7nHbCuOplE].

I completely forgot about Uber Chaining; that's a much better offensive example. It's amazing when it's pulled off well.

in dino crisis 2, your melee weapon, is a perfect dodge. if you time it right, you can dodge any attack in the game. I used it soooooo many times to get the blue raptors to show up. same game, the first gun that dylan can buy (i forgot the name) shoots a ball of energy that stays in place, if your run while firing steady, anything that tries to eat you, hits the ball instead, taking damage, breaking the attack, and getting you counter points. the amo gets expensive though.

Camera angles in Legend of zelda. Not really a weapon, but useful for looking around corners.

In V.A.T.S. I just use it to figure out where enemies are,

In Gears Of War2 I would play horde with some buddies and the first guy to die in a round would become the spotter for the team using the ghost camera.

Oh and once in that same game, there was a sniper and a gunner held up in the tower like structure in the river multiplayer level. The sniper was hitting left and right and his buddy was using a torque bow with trigger happy fever. I being designated mortar user, aimed it up at the ceiling and took them out through the floor.

There's no evidence as to Fawkes' gender, since supers are asexual and indistinguishable, and s/he cannot remember. I think the devs intended him as a male, though, and he's sure as hell not a woman now.

On topic, not sure if this counts, but upon getting hold of the assault rifle in GTA it became my mainstay weapon for absolutely every situation. I didn't bother using any small arms after that, except for shooting out of a car with the SMG.
