Give Okami "back" to Platinum.
And I want Konami to relinquish Silent Hill but I don't know who the hell could pull it off.
Did Okami end on a sequel hook or something? I always got the impression it was pretty self-contained, never did get far on it myself because of the eye bleed visuals.
Technically there is already a sequel to Okami, albeit on the DS and therefore unplayed and irrelevant to me.
My beef has more to do with Capcom shutting down Clover Studio and putting Viewtiful Joe, God Hand and Okami on cryofreeze.

Give all of EA's to THQNordic or Bethesdha.

I want to see Omega Force/Koei Tecmo do a Warriors game with Sonic characters.

Wayforward should do a sequel to Final Fight.

Give Dark Souls to Traveller's Tales, the guys who make the Lego games. Because nothing will annoy the hardcore "git gud" types more than having Dark Souls turned into a cutesy world with simple puzzles where death has no real consequence

Give Breath of Fire to Atlus. Any company that makes good RPGs to be honest, but that was the one that jumped to the top of my list.

Give Wild Arms to Nippon Ichi. While XF didn't sell so well, that game combined with the battle systems in 4 and 5 give the impression that a more tactics game oriented shift is the way to go for that series, and WA has always been a series with a fair bit of JRPG quirkiness running in it to balance out the serious moments.

Lego Dark Souls, that'd be hilarious. I'd love to see that.

Seconded. They already have tons of medieval designs to use, and fighting the smiling glow in the dark ghosts in the catacombs would be hilarious.

I'd also love that- along with a Lego ARMA

Take Prototype and give it to Rockstar. Those insane and grotesque super powers coupled with Rockstar?s signature over-the-topness and in a beautifully detailed GTA-like city?? Yes, please.
Wouldn't Violition be a better suit for this? Prototype was more like Saints Row than GTA
I can see why you?d say that, but I like Rockstar?s attention to quality; their open worlds are more fleshed out and feel more organic, real and alive than Volition?s Saints Row?s which are pretty much stock ?grids with cars and pedestrians.? Also, as much as I like the over-the-topness of Prototype?s abilities, I?d like to see a more austere treatment of the franchise, i.e.: ?The Darkness,? ?Dark Sector? or maybe like the anime ?Akira? wherein the increasing power is a sacrificing of self, a loss of control, and I?d trust Rockstar to realize that with due gravitas.

Actually, fuck Rockstar; take Prototype and give it to *drumroll*?.

Playdead

With a AAA budget and Playdead?s nigh savant-like abilities to make incredibly dark and brilliant games, Prototype would be right at home.

Final Fantasy to CDProjeckRED. 100%!!!!

I'm not sure there are any other devs I trust.

Maybe give Call of Duty to ID software.

OH! Give Bioshock to the guys who made Roller Coaster Tycoon! That's be great!
Which guys? RCT has had 4 different dev teams making games for it across the series's lifespan. The creator Chris Sawyer did the first 2 games largely on his own and is now running 31X, a mobile developer. Frontier made RCT 3 and are still around, so maybe they could do it?

Give F-Zero to Retro Studios
They haven't done anything since 2014. Are they even still around?

I think the problem really is that Bethesda can't write.
Bethesda can't write because Todd Howard has a fetish for railroading. He doesn't understand what makes RPGs good and how creating your own story can be fun.

Nobody. Western devs can't do the subtlety required of a Silent Hill. Koei-Tecmo did Fatal Frame, which is a close analogue to Silent Hill, so they could possibly take a stab at it. But Fatal Frame is very Japanese and SH is obviously Western inspired.

Id has Doom, they don't need CoD.

Anyway, my ideas:

Final Fight to Rockstar or possibly Monolith. Rockstar knows over the top camp and how to do a realistic urban setting while Monolith can do really crunchy and impactful melee combat. If you doubt that last part play through Condemned some time and get back to me.

Resident Evil to Jager Development, just to see if they could do something interesting with it and show us that Spec-Ops: The Line wasn't just a fluke.

Prince of Persia to Rocksteady or Digital Extremes.

System Shock to Obsidian because that could be interesting.

Fallout to CD Projekt Red.

Turok to People Can Fly just because I'd like to see how crazy they go with it.

And how about a Star Wars game made by Avalanche.

Before they disavowed gaming, I would've said let Konami keep the IP and give it back to Team Silent. But Team Silent is an umbrella term for four distinct dev teams with minor overlapping and there's no such "bringing the band back together" unless Akira Yamaoka were to direct a new game himself (he produced 3 and 4 so why not?).

Why not From Software? Japanese company with a Japanese sensibility for horror but with clear Western influences. Before the Souls bonanza they made a classy fixed-camera survival horror game on the PS2 called Kuon that was pretty good. More Fatal Frame than Silent Hill but it'd be cool to see From go back to its roots while also doing something new for a change.

Give 40k to Fatshark or Creative Assembly so they can stop making good Warhammer Fantasy games and make some good 40k games instead. Or will the curse strike and make them shit nevertheless?

I remember reading back in the 2000s that one of the Team Silent members said that Team Silent had permanently disbanded due to key members being assigned to different projects. And now Yamaoka does sound direction at Grasshopper so he's really in no position to take the reigns for a game.

Yes, make them do something new by going back and doing something like what they did before that nobody remembers. Seems legit. Seriously, I never heard of Kuon and had to look it up to make sure I wasn't confusing it with Siren; another Japanese PS2 Survival Horror that nobody remembers. Honestly, I think Silent Hill as a concept is dead. Konami stopped caring and the western devs have shown multiple times that they don't get Silent Hill.

A 40K Total War is something the fans have wanted for years, alongside a digital tabletop module of some description, but GW is too cripplingly afraid of success and just keeps giving the license to scrubs who can't make decent games. Eutechnyx got access to the license for fuck's sake. The same chucklefucks who made Ride to Hell. And they made a damn Plants Vs Zombies clone mobile game out of it. And I don't think Fatshark is interested in 40K, else they would've made something of it already. Fatshark is run by WH Fantasy fans, so Fantasy is what they stick to.
