And this has exactly what to do with gaming?

Please post this on sites that actually discuss this sort of content, this is just shoving things into people's faces.
Now, I'm not a Brony, nor will I ever be, but considering this site has actual columns for an anime review, a film review, a film physics show, a sketch comedy show, a versus show, another film show, and a podcast covering a huge variety of topics, only a few of which are game related that this site, despite its tagline, can be referred to as more than about gaming.

Although I hate the term, it's about 'geek culture' in general. *shudders*

Not to mention this is a user thread, and your complaint would only really hold water if this had been posted in Game Discussion.

And choosing who to save between drowning stranger and your dog is connected to gaming, because... ?
Come on, this is off-topic, people post all kind of weird shit here.

OT:
Unless it's as horrible as putting Smurfs in New York I might give it a try.
But RD looks really weird, that skin tone... I have better humanized versions as wallpapers :p

It's actually a pretty smart move on Hasbro's part.

I think they're wanting to cash in on the doll market - think Barbie, Bratz, Monster High...

I can't see MLP really working in terms of humanized dolls, but I plan to ignore it until it goes away. :3

I'll stick to My Little Pony, not My Little Human.
They could still abbreviate it the same way.

My Little Person, My Little Person~

Though that does make it sound like a rather condescending allegory about the dwarf community.

Those human versions look terrible. I've seen much better humanised ponies on Deviant Art. They look disproportionate and those boots they're all wearing make it seem like they have freakishly swollen ankles. Each leg is the same width as their waist. Awful design.

Jesus, they look like horrifying! I'm not a brony , but look at this just makes me facepalm. Hasbro, the fuck are you doing? This could risk alienating and undermining your current audience. Seriously, quite it and for the love of god quit the booze, it's having a bad effect on you.

Welp, this is a curious turn, does this mean the end to the equine puns? Also what the hell is the explaination for the skin conditions? Trixie and Rainbowdash been sipping silverwater? o_O

You're posting in the off-topic section. If you wish to discuss games, I would suggest going to gaming discussion. Until then, please play nice.

To those saying this is a hoax... here is a video.
Pause at about 0:14.
The evidence is almost undeniable at this point. Personally, I will give it a shot just like I did for MLP:FIM. If it is bad, I will not watch it, simple as that. It is also an offshoot series, technically not cannon, so people should not complain about that either. Well, just like a certain princess being coordinated, I will just have to sit back and wait to see if it is good.

Eh. Ponies are more unique than that.

Still, I wish it will be okay. I've seen some pretty horrible shit aimed at young girls. One episode of what-ever-it-was comes to mind where the girls were after a machine that makes your legs thinner, and one of them got slightly thicker legs and that was like the most horrible thing ever. Or the one episode of 'Bratz', (I think?) that had the big dilemma to be 'He saw me without my makeup on'...

I mean, I'm not against 'girly' stuff, or taking on concerns about appearance and make-up, but if you're doing it in such a vapid and horrible way that only promotes body-issues, fuck you.

That's why I like MLP.:FiM. I'm not a brony, but I appreciate it exists. All the ponies have different personalities, and I really like that it has the very feminine (Clarity? Verity?) one who liked shopping and clothes, but who was serious about it. It's her job, and she's an artist who works hard.

Also the main character is a nerd.

As a kid I was so frustrated there were no female nerds in stuff, I wish I'd have had that show then.

EDIT: Also, those designs suck. If you're going to make them human, take some chances and make them look more unique.
Also, all of them except Rainbow Dash are wearing skirts. (that's how you know she's a tomboy)

Are pants difficult to animate or something? At least make the skirts (and the boots) different, wouldn't the shy one look nicer with a ankle-long skirt or something?

All in all, the designs look lazy.

Not sure if want.

I can asume that cast image is not the final product as the poses is mostly similar to each other and they're mostly wearing the same style of clothing (knee high shoes).
While I'm not a fan of them still using their coat colours as their skin colour (human Rainbow Dash look weird with blue skin despite that is her coat colour in the show), I got to admit I prefer that humanize style over to this fanmade one below as the proportion is not as bad (head too big or their bodies are too small).

Horrible body proportions. If they were going to copy fanfics why couldn't they copy the good ones?

Just for the heck of it, I have something else to say.
At least Lyra will be at last happy to be a human!!!
Or maybe because she is human she want to be a pony?

o_o?

Rarity. Most of the ponies names are actual words, usually two. Like "Twilight Sparkle" or "Rainbow Dash", there are exceptions, like the aforementioned Rarity or Lyra.

I agree with what you said though, I fell in love with the show preciely because it had strong characters. They are exaggerated archetypes (the nerd, the shy girl, the hyperactive girl etc) but they appeal to us because they are realistic. They have strengths and weaknesses, and are relatable. They have realistic problems, like refusing to accept help, or learning to not let fame go to your head.

A lot of it has to do with the mythology as well. I mean while some of the set pieces are used as jokes(the salt saloon in appleoosa), it really seems to show a world that has more than meets the eye, especially with places like the everfree forest. Tons of races too; I mean there are Sapient buffalo, ponies, cows, donkeys, athro dog people and a Minotaur. There are hydras, manticores, cockatrices, and timber wolves(wolves literally made out of plant matter). There are freaking bug like ponies that can shapeshift and feed on love for peat's sake!

Sorry, gushed a bit. Its things like the above that make me like the series a lot though.

So... this would make MLP's rule 34 a lot less creepy or just plain worse?

*shudders*
Considering the fact that humanized (furry or full human) pony porn has been around since the show came out, I doubt it'd have any affect at all...other than perhaps making it closer to canon now. :p

Edit: As for this rumored show itself, I've a message for all the bronies (I like the show as well, but wouldn't call myself a brony since I don't even own an MLP tshirt): you don't HAVE to watch this. It's a spin-off. Whether it's god's gift to pony fans or the worst case of jumping the shark since...well...since The Fonz jumped the frickin' shark, you don't have to watch it if it holds no appeal to you. :p

I'll give it a look... but I think I prefer the original styles. Also, WTF is up with the skin colors?
