The KFC Double Down Sandwich

Let's take a look at this little baby.
Instead of a bun, it is kept within two chicken fillets. Within that, we have two slices of bacon, and melted cheese (Both pepperjack and swiss). Along with the Colonel's special sauce, of course.

The Double Down is reported to have 1,200 calories, and is only being trialled in Providence and Omaha. KFC say it's only 590 calories, but it sounds so much sweeter with over a thousand.

The only problem I can see is there's not enough carbohydrates, but the fries that come with it should balance that out.

Awesome or not?

Wow... that is a crazy looking sandwich there... By chance does anyone know how much it costs? It looks like it'd be expensive...

I want one, only for the sake of saying I've had one. Like a double pounder with cheese. Thought i was going to die after eating that.

They're trialling it at $6.99 with fries and a drink.

uhmmm..... I know that ordering double-meat on a Subway Sandwich is usually against the idea of a healthier snack but this is really just ridiclious...

Well, they took fat to the next level. Before there was some kind of 'break' for your body; a bun and a bit of salad to keep all those saturates at bay. Now this little baby is on a totally new level; and I fear for the next step in the evolution of foods that kill.

I'd only be marginally surprised at this point if McDonalds starting giving out syringes full of lard for the 'Happy Meal'.

I'm sure that the whole point of a sandwich was that it was between two pieces of bread. As it is, that only qualifies as a stack of meat.

You know something? They should sell this in Japan, if only so Japanese women can finally sprout some breasts worth a damn.
