I would like to see a game that is like The World from the .hack universe. Also, more free MMOs, thats the only thing that prevents me from playing these games.

Well, I know they did one as a pseudo-free type MMO that blew chips, but I think that the Shin Megami Tensei universe/concepts could breed a very interesting MMO if done correctly and on the right level.

Otherwise I simply think they need more science fiction MMORPGs, there are some under development, but it remains to be seen how they will turn out. Truthfully my dream game would include like a combination of Anarchy Online and EVE, where you could do science fiction adventuring with psionics and nanotech and stuff outside of your ship, and fly from planet to planet to explore and mine resources in a totally differant EVE-like RPG interface (the space shooter thing in Star Wars Galaxies didn't do it for me when it came to space travel, that didn't fit in an RPG IMO).

As far as pure cyberpunk goes, well the attemps I'm familiar with like Neocron didn't seem to turn out too well.

Can this MMO be a first person shooter?

If so then a zombie apocolypse game where your in a city, and if you go out of the city walls zombies everywhere! Just trying to rush you, but their easy to kill, but if you concentrate on only one area they'll come out of the areas you weren't concentrating on.
YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!!! Thats almost exactly what i would love to make of an MMO, sept instead of first person id want third. And the starting City would be small, and the outside world would be ENORMOUS!! It would have what you said where the zombies would come from the unconcentrated areas, but it would have a good version of Age of Conans failed attempt at "capture a land, fortify it, and make it a castle". In this case its take a house, fortify it and fend off Zombies. Take over a neighboorhood, fortify all the houses while helping out the NPCs that would spawn there and any low levels who needed the protection, AND STILL FEND OFF ZOMBIES!!! A game done something to that effect could cost 50 dollars a month and id pay 100 to make sure that the servers never went down.
You've clearly never played Hellgate: London... Trust me, it works for a while, but after about 5 hours, you get bored.

I think an MMO based on Jade Empire could work too. Everybody learning different martial arts moves, and trying to best each other would work wonders for a PvP arena.
Yes, I'm a Bioware fan.

I havent but trust me, i could make it work. I didnt really explain it in detail because i would make it deeper than go here, kill said baddy, bring back his mutated radiated finger for some money to buy a better stick thats no better at killing zombies. My thought process on the subject of said game idea runs deeper that the rivers of ancient ................some biblical reference there, but the point is if done correctly i could see it being the WoW killer. And no im not just being optimistic.

I play EVE Online. Amazing game.

It actually requires a brain to play, so not too many people stick with it.
I played it for like a week, and quit because I found that it didn't require a brain to play. Not that I've ever played an MMO that I thought did, but at least some other MMOs have some level of tactical expertise required instead of just macro strategy.

Anarchy Online is a MMORPG that I heard about years ago. It is in the distant future (I mean distant like 14652 A.D.) anywho it was showed on an old G4 show called Portal which was about MMOs.

I'm still waiting for Stargate Worlds to come out. That's about the only other MMO I'd play besides FFXI and FFXIV.

Hey... that's not fair, I personally think that Guild Wars require a brain to think. It's not an easy game, especially when you hit level 20.

a Gundam MMORPG
Resident Evil, if done right

oh oh, and Toejam & Earl (some kind of awesome retro-remake of the original)

any MMOrpg that would have kick ass combat/fighting capabilities, say in games like Prototype.

I always thought that mixing/crossover games were interesting (ex: marvel vs Capcom, Kingdom hearts)... imagine if you could combine every game together (at least all the decent ones) into one giant universe of an MMORPG
Id love to see a Gundam MMO. I always adored those bastards in the show with those giant robots and the power to do just about anything. I cant see the game being very challening though.....the final suit would be a Gundam suit with all the best attachments........wouldnt you just fuck up any of the characters from the show that i would presume would be bosses?

And i dont think you could do a resident Evil MMO. The games too story driven, like any room for improvement, expansion, or personal flavor would be destroyed. Itd be like, "go do this, so you can go do this" and youd be like "o yeah i member doing that in Resident Evil so and so".

The prototype.........type mmo would be sick as hell to see done well.

And all MMOs would never converge in one universe. Blizzard wouldnt have it.
