I saw it and it was really annoying. I would have signed up for premium at the discount rate if they told me they were going to introduce ads before videos played, bordered ads around playing videos and to top it off have all of it in eye bleeding colours.

I don't bother logging in when I check the videos in free periods at school. I see ads then.

I know you try to go to full screen and you end up with one episode that has the music still playing and another with him talking, both at the same time.

I've seen these ads here on the Escapist, in fact, there the ONLY ads that run anymore, and I fucking hate them, rarely do ads annoy me, but these make me feel like i'm getting gang banged by a bunch of Skittle people with strobe light's attached to them.


It's especially bad when watching ZP.

Yeah, I know The Escapist needs them for ad revenue but now it seems like they're just trying to kill they're epileptic userbase.

I really have no problem with ads on websites - click-through traffic is a way to raise revenue because nothing is ever for free.

I do faithfully promise that if the adverts become offensive to view - particularly if they flash or are of a hideous enough design that my eye is drawn there over and over again - then I will turn the ads off for good. It's not nice I know and I appreciate that there are bills for bandwidth and hosting etc. Keep them discrete, keep them in keeping with the website they appear on and I may even click on them....
