Aion has a good following, there's not really many people playing it, which is how I like it. There's a sense of community which WoW lacks mainly due to it's LFG tool. On Aion you've still gotta group up, walk to the dungeon and wait for everyone to get there, which means you're playing with the same players quite a lot, which is good because you get to know people and get renowned on the server as a good DPS, tank or healer. Plus, the guilds are so big you end up knowing most people.

That's how I'd like WoW to be, but it isn't. The only fun I have is PvP because the game isn't just playing itself for me that way. I'm currently on a dead server, which is about 97% Horde and 3% Alliance. The auction houses are minimal and overpriced, there's no PUGs, and questing consists of dying repeatedly from being ganked. Honestly, I wouldn't want it any other way, I just hope they don't fix the faction imbalance, it what makes the game great; playing on a side where you know you're fucked.

The only MMORPG I've ever played and still play is LOTRO.*
Which is win, as far as I'm concerned.

*Unless Runescape counts, of course.
