Primary: FAMAS w/one of the following: Thermal, Holographic, Shotgun
Secondary: G18, either Akimbo'd or Red-Dot Sight
Perk 1: Scavenger Pro
Perk 2: Cold Blooded (UP YOURS, PAVE LOW! UP YOURS!)
Perk 3: Steady Aim
Primary Equipment: Tactical Insertion or Throwing Knife
Secondary Equipment: Flash or Stun grenades
Deathstreak: Painkiller or Copycat

With this loadout, I have a near indefinete effective time, so long as I can land kills/find Scavenger Packs. I'm also invisible to all killstreaks, which means if some asshat with an AC-130 is ruling the roost, I can run around in impunity, and hopefuly kill the bugger. Steady aim is for the G18's. The TactIns is for giving the enemy a little surprise after they kill me. Flash and stun grenades are to keep the enemy from sooting me up. And if I'm unfortunate enough to die repeatedly, I have Painkiller to keep myself from getting sawn-ganked by spawn-campers or Copycat to steal someones AK-47 w/Ranger combo. And then proceed to own them with it.

I've also been experimenting a bit with the L86 with a Grip and Holo Sight on and a Vector with rapid fire on my anti air class. Also tried a few other different things (like Akimbo Vectors with Rapid fire, that one didn't end well) trying to liven it up a bit.
L86 is amazing with Thermal + Grip if you burst fire. It acts more or less like an auto Sniper.
As for the Akimbo-Rapid Fire Vectors.... I tried that too. Hell lot of fun, but got bring after a while. Back to my witch class then!

For those who play the multiplayer of Modern Warfare 2, what is your favorite custom class loadout?
I did a search and didn't find a thread dedicated to this, but my search-fu is not best.

My preferred loadout is as follows:
FAMAS with Silencer and Heartbeat Monitor (as per the Bling Perk)
USP with a Silencer
Grenade or Semtex (doesn't really matter to me)
Flashbangs (though I find that I flash myself more often than not...)

Perk 1: Bling
Perk 2: Cold Blooded
Perk 3: Radar Jammer

With this loadout, I'm essentially invisible, and immune to UAV jammers.
I was debating whether to swap out my sidearm for a missile launcher to counter Harriers and Helicopters.

I'm just curious as to what others use, and why.

My preferred loadout is;
any sub-machine gun with rapid fire (i don't use it)
Some handgun with tactical knife
Semtex,
Stun,

Perk 1: Marathon Pro
Perk 2: Lightweight Pro
Perk 3: Commando Pro

And the reason why is because my knife gets hungry fast and this way i get quick and from behind if not i can cover the distance faster than most people can aim, and commando means that any layout like the one i've quoted will be destroyed!

Well for being a ***** camper I like using a tar-21 silenced cold blooded, scavenger with claymores, ninja, and a m1014 with a grip. Great for domination/ground war.

Intervention - Suppressor/FMJ
M9 - Suppressor/FMJ
Claymore
Smoke Grenade
Bling Pro
Cold-Blood Pro
Stopping Power Pro

Never care much about the Deathstreaks. I can never put Painkiller to any use, I don't generally like Copypcat, Final Stand I don't like as I'm never prepared to use it, and I'm usually playing Hardcore so Martyrdom is a no-no.

My favourite classes would have to be:

1.Scar with Extended mags (FMJ is really useful but I find the 30 bullet clip just comes in handy so much more often)

Stinger (For shooting down choppers and the like. Nothing used to make me rage more than when I was sitting on a 10 kill streak when I'd get killed by a harrier that no one seemed to want to shoot down. Now I fix the problem myself and get endless joy out of screwing over campers who are sitting around waiting for chopper gunner.)

Semtex (I rush around a lot so cooking grenades can take too long and leave you vulnerable. Semtex I can chuck out quickly and still get kills from it)

Stun grenades (The quickest special grenade to throw and the most ideal for breaking into rooms because you know they're going to be slowed down)

2.Barrett 50. Cal FMJ (The bullet penetration is more useful than the extended mags and I don't go into all that heartbeat sensor/silencer rubbish. If they want to come get me, they'll know where I ventilated their skull from)

Spas 12 with foregrip (Not as useful for fending off the sniper bumrush as the striker or the AA 12 but for whatever reason I just seem to have a great time when I'm using this cannon. It also has an amazing range on it which is really good for 1v1s.)

Claymores (A sniper's best friend, there's just too many knifers and approaches to sniper spots in modern warfare 2 to not have these guarding your back)

Stuns

Perks are the same for both kits:

Scavenger Pro (Most useful perk in the game in my opinion and the single hardest thing to give up when prestiging)

Stopping Power pro (More damage = more kills, it's that simple)

Ninja Pro (Keeps you off heartbeat sensors which is always useful since when people have them they come to rely on them but the most important part is the silent footsteps from pro. I was a big fan of dead silence from CoD4 and it just carries over to modern warfare 2. Useful as a run and gunner because you can charge around like a bull and no one will know and extremely useful as a sniper because you can ambush people who are looking for you without being heard)

It depends on the match for me but I'm a man of simple tastes:

ACR with Red Dot Sight (or no attachments)
Akimbo M9s because I love them.

Semtex
Stun Grenades

Sleight of Hand Pro
Stopping Power Pro
Steady Aim Pro

Final Stand

Simple, but I don't use just that. Occasionally I use this class just for fun too:

M4 w/Silencer
AA-12 Shotgun

Throwing Knife
Stun grenades

Scavenger
Cold Blooded
Ninja

Martyrdom

The M4 somehow feels better with the silencer.

I can't abide by people using Heartbeat Sensors, it takes so much away from the game for me. Javelins, 1887s, M203s, Rangers, AT4s and RPGs are also things that I hate.

I find that you need scavanger, otherwise you get a few kills and then your down to your knife.

You need stopping power otherwise in a one on one your screwed.

So that leaves the crap pile that is the 3rd set of perks, I picked ninja 'cos I don't want to use an overpowered thing like commando.

At the moment I use AUG HBAR with a silencer and the AA12 machine shotgun with the grip, I have two of the exact same classes except one has claymores and the other has semtex, for whatever situation.

I like the LMG's 'cos when the enemy is reloading I can carry on firing.

I have got a good sneaky class that works most of the time.
PW:Scar-H or ACR with silencer
SW:m93 raffica with silencer or spas-12 with grip
Perks:
Marathon pro
cold blooded pro or stopping power pro
ninja pro
Death streak is matrydom ot however u spell it.
Killstreaks are: pred missile, Harrier Strike, and AC130
When u use this class, make sure not to camp in one place. You should try camping in one area then move to another, or just go all assault and charge (BUT SECRETLY CHARGE)

forget about stealth, go in guns blazing with an assault rifle with stopping power, steady aim(i spray), and scavenger pro(extra ammo is a must). have G18, preferably akimbo on backup

My main class was this before I went prestige was and will be again once I unlock everything:

Tar-21: Extended Mags
M9: Akimbo
Semtex
Flash Grenades
Marathon Pro
Stopping Power Pro
Last Stand Pro
Final Stand

However, right now, because I don't have all that unlocked I have this:

Tar-21: FMJ
SPAS-12: Foregrip
Semtex
Flash Grenades
Marathon Pro
Stopping Power Pro
Steady Aim Pro
Martyrdom

People complain about this because it makes the Tar a 2 hit weapon at short-medium range. But I only use FMJ to get the Extended Mags (and mastery). Plus it has almost the longest range of all the assault rifles but the accuracy sucks. Once you can control the recoil though the gun is amazing. I'm really surprised at the low amount of people I see using it.

I change my Killstreaks depending on what game type I'm playing. If I'm playing Free-For-All I use:

-UAV (3)
-Predator Missile (5)
-Harrier (7)

For everything else I generally use this:
-UAV (3)
-Care Package (4)
-Predator Missile (5)

Primary- Intervention, barrett, or M21 (depend on what I feel like using. But the WA2000 EW!)

Secondary- Akimbo G18

Equipment-Claymores and Stun

Perk 1- Scavenger (pro)

I need the extra mags

Perk 2- Cold Blooded (pro)

don't want anyone finding me easily. Especially with those damn thermals

Perk 3- Sit Rep (pro)

prefect for sneaking up on other snipers and to see if they have any defense

Primary-ACR with Holographic sight

Secondary- USP .45 [attachment defers]

Equipment- Claymore and Stun

Perk 1- Scavenger (pro)

I run out of mags way too fast without this!

Perk 2- Stopping Power (Pro)

Depends on the gun. For the ACR or MG4 hell yeah I'll need this.

Perk 3- Ninja (pro)

When you have a Turtle Beach headset your steps really make noise. Plus I'm invisible to heartbeat's.

-Predator Missile
-Harrier Strike
-AC130

It's perfect because once you get a predator it's all domino effect from there. It's not uncommon to get a double kill with a predator. So then you get the harriers. Then after you send that out you just hide and let your harrier do the dirty work. Unless it blows up, then you need to be careful on what you do. But if all goes right then you yell "AC130 *****!" and enjoy the pure awesomeness that is the AC130 gunship!

AC130 > Chopper gunner

I call her Lucy

M240 w/ Grip/Holograpic
USP .45 Akimbo/Silencers
Frag/Temsex
Flash x2

Bling Pro
Stopping Power Pro
Steady Aim Pro

The M240 is suprisingly powerful and accurate, I'm confused as to why people don't use it. I guess they see the low damage and automatically dismiss it.

Also i have a question, has anyone noticed any significant difference between red dot and holographic sight apart from the crosshairs?
Not sure if anyone else answered this for you (don't feel like flipping through five pages to find out), but the Holographic sight has some slight buffs on a couple weapons.

On the M16, it tightens up the spread slightly.
On the FAL, it bumps up the "bottom end" damage from 35 to 40, meaning Stopping Power becomes useful for the FAL: two-shot kill at any range.

It might have some other effects on other weapons, but I've never heard about them.

My own classes of choice:

TAR-21 with FMJ (I swap this all out depending on what I'm trying to master, trying to master all AR's and only have TAR-21 and AK-47 left)
Striker

Claymore (Recent change, trying it out)
Stun Grenades

Scavenger Pro
Stopping Power Pro
SitRep (trying to get Pro again, it rocks)

I have other classes I use, but this one's the general purpose one.

EDIT: To digress a little, the scrambler perk is pretty redundant. It messes with the oppositions radar in a small area. So if your radar gets a little fuzzy then you know for sure there's someone around. It's not even that much of a hindrance anyway. Just play a little defensively and try and flush the scrambler out.

Silly, useless perk.
Before you get pro it's completely useless as it just makes you obvious, with pro it makes claymores useless against you since you have about 4 weeks before they'll go off.
IMO it's still a terrible pro effect. If Claymores annoy you (they annoy me), use SitRep. You get to know about the claymore from across the map. Also, people using claymores can still hear the click even if the boom is delayed.

Plus, all the other advantages of SitRep against C4, grenades, etc. Helps me get kills because a Claymore becomes a small "I'm hiding HERE!" sign on two tiny legs.

Once you get Pro, it's even more awesome.
