This is the best movie I've ever played. Beat it at 6 AM the day I got it. I loved every bit of it. This game is indeed exactly what the hype made it out to be, and then some.
That's exactly what I thought!

It's not so much a game as an interactive movie. I didn't think it worked as well as the first one though, because it IS very movie-like - including all the boring action movie cliches.

I bought it. Worth it.

But the civilian slaughter was... well... goreish.

All good though - loving it.

With the Rojas right hand man, it said - non-lethal shot, so i shot the guy in the bottocks - he died.

When the russians invade the US of A - that is like playing World in Conflict FPS mode ... i am loving this game more and more

I'd also like to know how long the sp campaign is.

If its as short as the first I'll wait till its half-price then pick it up.
If you play on one of the easier levels, probably around the 6 hour mark.

However, I played on veteran, and it took me closer to 10.

I'm getting the impression the campaign is a bit short. Hmmm... Anyone wanna say yay or nay?

Anyone know how long the single player campaign is?
Took me 8 hours first go. That was on normal difficulty.

B
Really 8 hours on normal?I saw it going for $120 in a local EB games(in Australia)
Seriously that's like $15 for every hour of entertainment, I couldn't even make money that fast with my last job. People where complaining when Halo ODST could be beaten in 6 hours?
Well there's special ops too. And multiplayer is endless.

It's still as fucking laggy as ever though.

Love it. Just finished the campaign, it's everything I could have hoped for and more.

It takes everything form COD4 and turns it up to 11, just wait till you get to the final few missions... you're in for a treat.

Any shooter fan who boycotts this game will be missing out on one of the most spectacular single-player gaming experiences of their lives.
Everything this man just said was true. Except for one problem (Xbox 360 version). Not allowing the Party Chat. Why make a Party Chat if you can't use it.

It's actually not turning out so bad, it encourages teamwork in the matches.

You already finished the campaign? And MP sucks?

...What did you pay for, seriously? $60 for less than 20 hours of gameplay + an inferior version of CoD4's multiplayer?

Actually, I'll probably play through the campagin several times, it just has that much replay value (hell, I played through CoD4 a half-dozen times) - the thing is, they've made it so you can complete missions in several different ways. You can stealth-it-up, run-and-gun, or a combination of both.

I never really even really played CoD4s multiplayer. I'm not a big multiplayer person.

I don't think it's got inferior multi.

The maps are fun and well designed, the weapons look, sound and feel a whole lot better.

Shotties and machine pistols have rightly been made secondary weapons.

Martyrdom is no longer ruining the pace of every game as has been relegated to a deathstreak, and juggernaut is gone. Happy days.

There's still a horribly high level of host advantage but I suppose that can't be helped.

I dunno. The aliens in the space mission were kinda lame.
Nice job spoiling part of the game.
OT: Can't wait until 10-12, I'm picking up my copy at GameStop!
Don't worry, he was joking.

The 'space mission' lasts all of a minute, and only exists to link the previous mission with the next.
Ok, good. I'd be pissed if it was true... (I secretly wish it was true, though).
I would've loved a sudden cut half-way through a mission: "And now: INTERMISSION". Immediate cut to a badly-built carnival shooting gallery, bb guns, and badly drawn pop up pictures of Imran Zakayev.

Multiplayer is inferior to pretty much any multiplayer game since we were first allowed to create our own servers or games. Diablo 2 at least allows you to make your own game, where people you know and like can play.

And guess what? There are 8 people on your team! Only one less than MW2's teams!!

No matter how well maps are made, they can never replace community-made maps. Again, TF2 wins my "medal of awesomeness in the field of multiplayer gaming experience". AGAIN, damn it. Also, there are no power-ups or perks or whatever, only pure skill... or failure.

While that is true, Several other players usually wouldn't co-operate or they would have that horrible static playing. There's a lot more that I could list, but I leave it as that for now.

Multiplayer has sucked ever since that first 12 year old discovered that they don't actually check for proof of age.

I was gonna get it, then I saw more gameplay footage of Assassin's Creed 2. And bought Dragon Age. So, it was AC2 or another FPS.
