And yet sales will probably not be hurting. O well if I ever get another 360 I'll get it on release day and I'd pay whatever amount just because the MP is that good to me.

Oh come on, does it hurt to raise the price of the game ? Think how much effort goes into a game - have you ever bought an expensive game that was bad ? I can't think of any.
It seems you're a wise buyer, but not everyone is. Good thing is I watch walkthroughs (all of em) because I just want to be sure that the story mode would not suck. As for the effort that goes into games, I'd rather have a dumbed-down graphics game (retain the fun) so that production of these games wouldn't be a pain in the ass.

You don't buy to many new games do you? Many new games that come out with a full price tag end up being really bad.

That's the avriage release price of any game that gets sold in Sweden...
Was gonna say, we regularly get screwed over in Aus. New release PC games are usually between AU$90-100, which is around US$80. Not to mention the console games, for example, Fallout 3 on PS3 retails for around US$91 at major retail outlets. This is why Steam is so groundbreaking because we can finally get decent prices for new PC games.

Here in Sweden a lot of STEAM games are more expensive than buying them retail in stores.
Even after the $1 = 1? debacle.
While I do understand the relief people feel about STEAM, I personally think it's a piece of ¤!%& when it comes to pricing.

While I can understand the people who are saying that it's not that much money (and I disagree), the problem is that the price increase is unbased. It's like selling chairs at a certain price, and then upping the price by a ton for no apparent reason. It's still the same chair from the same chair industry, but suddenly it costs more. It's a matter of principle.

As for the argument that the cost of making games is increasing, well so is the market. Yeah, games cost more to make than they did 10 years ago, but a LOT more people are buying them as well.

Basically, it's a money grab. I understand companies want to make money, but this is pushing it. And it is inviting piracy...

100 dollars is the equivalent of 620 of the swedish currency. This is quite normal if not a low price for new highly anticipated releases. We've had games going for 699 easily.

That is why reviews are for.
The last HORRIBLE game I bought (And for my defence - i was drunk and just came from an all-nighter) was Shellshock. Now that game can eat a shit-paddle-over.

But no, if I KNOW and SEE that the game will most likely fullfill my expecations - I shall buy it! But i don't go random gameshopping.

Funny, if the Hardened Edition sells for the same price as the US version... It'll be cheaper than the regular edition in the UK. Why the hell do we have to pay the same price as the CE for a regular game?

90 bucks for a game, thats overpriced or the game has to be ridiculously good which I doubt. God damn Activision starting to act like EA, but in a different directsion.
Seriously, my world is being turned upside down here. Formerly, EA was the consortium to hate, with their consistently turning out shovelware by the bucket load. Now, in the space of little more than a year they've turned out no fewer than four games that were excellent by my own silly standards, two of which were entirely new IP's (and one of which was actually more than a little bit different). Who's the villain now? Who will I misdirect my rage at the callous indifference of the universe against?
