ACR = Best Assault rifle as of level 48 to 70.

Fires fast, High damage, High accuracy. Scar is a good second choice, but slow fire can be a hassle. (Not that much, by the loads upon loads of people that use the damn weapon)

Barrett .50 cal is my sniper rifle choice.

Throw me a thermal on that baby and go to town!

all you need is a fairly reliable assault rifle like in any good fps and you will do fine.... headshot, headshot, headshot

One new class I've seen a few times, especially in CTF, is as follows:

Primary: Riot Shield
Secondary: akimbo Model 1887's/Rangers
Perks: Marathon, Stopping Power/Lightweight, and Commando.

These guys are fast and deadly. With riot shields on their backs, they have some semblance of protection when they are running away with the flag. Not to mention the awe inspiring/extremely annoying power of these akimbo shotgun combos.

the silencer reduces the power of most of the rifles below a 1-hit kill, which is unacceptable as a sniper. The entire point of sniping over using an AR is the 1-hit power.
Hey I have not bought the game yet but reading the silencer reduces the power of snipers? this just makes no sense from a real world aspect.

Well it isn't a 100% realistic game. From my experience silenced snipers don't usually kill in one shot without a headshot.

Your Traditional Assualt class needs to die.
If you use the M16 you deserve to be castrated.
Yes, because anyone that uses a gun in a video game deserves that.

OT: Yea, most of them seem right
Using the most overpowered weapon with stopping power needs to be castrated. Its just cheap.
Yea, it is, which is why I wish juggernaut was still there. It atleast balanced out the m16.
Its not overpowered, half the time you can kill someone with one burst, but the rest of the time it will take multiple shots for no reason, also stopping power doesnt seem to do anything to it

My personal favorite class is a combination of long and short-medium range. Barrett .50 Cal with FMJ, and SPAS 12 with Holographic Sights.

It really depends on what you are shooting with the .50 cal will literally kill in one shot basically any where you hit with.

I hate seeing people in ghillie suits with dual 1887 shotguns killing everyone in close quarters. I'm not sure how this wasn't mentioned in the OP. Everything else seems just right. I tend to use the SCAR with the Holographic sight and manage to somewhat snipe people or dominate people in midrange but get killed by the rushing people with knifes often.

I hate double 1887.
I have to agree. it's really fun to use, but it tends to get really annoying, especially when they have the shield on their back.

I'm afraid to say that even a headshot isn't doing the job with certain weapons. Many times I have clearly put a bullet into someone's head with a silenced intervention and they don't go down. It could be because I had cold-blooded, but that's a pathetic excuse for a bullet not to turn a guy's brain into swiss cheese, even from a distance.
On a side note, I do like what they did with the ACOG in MW2. I feel less pissed off about being sniped in the head with this one compared to the MW1 version where the sight bounced around so much I felt it was easier to just hit the guy with my pistol from across the map.

New Rush
-- Even lighter rushers who kill with knife almost 80% of the time, the other 20% from machine handguns. These players are faster than traditional rush, because they scrap all forms of offensive perks in order to be faster. They are too fast for some players to keep up with their sights, for some snipers to shoot, and too unpredictable for some assault to anticipate. Their main goal is to knife every opponent, continue movement, and knife more. Defined by the lightest weapon they can select (P90 for me) or the M104 shotgun, Marathon, Lightweight, Commando.
Desert Eagle + Tactical Knife = win. If you want a stabby stab class with uber speed get the tactical knife.

If Commando increases the Riot Shield's range, I can understand it possibly rising, but not becoming any more dominant than these four classes. So what do you all think? Are these accurate depictions of our gaming community for MW2? I want to hear your feedback, and if you have any possible speculations about a new, up-and-coming class that you want to share.

Riot Shield is great for game modes that require defenses (HQ, Domination, etc) or at least a point man with balls (or crowd control).

Playing Hardcore Search and Destroy I have found a new and rather interesting class, The Mobile Artillery. Noob Tubes were always a little bit of a problem in CoD4 but never game breaking if you knew how to act, but with One Man Army a person can have 5 classes dedicated to raining death upon the enemy. I have seen plenty of people stand back at the spawn trying to blow up everything in and out of sight. The first barrage tends to work well but after everyone had dispersed you can never be sure if people are there so the second, third, fourth and fifth class change tends to be a failure. There is also a high risk of hitting your allies, especially of the rushing variety, so eventually you will get yourself killed in a stupid manner.
Your talking about people who use the launchers, right? Or are you specifically talking about grenade launchers?
The people that use the Grenade Launchers are the Mobile Artillery, although maybe a poor choice of words as they tend not to move from Spawn. With One Man Army they have a near endless (I'm not sure if your ammo gets replenished when you change classes) supply of grenades and use that in a similar way to artillery. It isn't that hard to understand.
Oh, I see. I didn't get one man army yet, but I read what it does just now and I get what your saying.

I'm rather convinced that they'll patch the 1887s. I can't even possibly imagine IW meant for them to have that kind of range or power.

Glad to see I won't fit into the projected mold, I like my L86 LSW, Slight of Hand/Stopping Power/Steady Aim.

I've always preferred big clips and big guns, not that I ever really have to reload, I normally die, hahaha

i just stopped playing online because of this the assault class will always get nailed by the other 2 unless the other 2 do something extraordinarily dumb (i.e. stand up and run across a field as a sniper, or charge an assault head on from medium range as a rush)

Your 4 traditional classes basically describe 3 of my classes. I've got an assault class using M4 or ACR when I get it again, sniping using Intervention or WA2000 when I get it again, and a knifing/sub-machine gun class. My other 3 classes are riot shield, LMG with stinger and cold blooded to take out air support, and a class to test out new guns. I see a lot of people doing similar things. I was getting annoyed with people using thermal on their snipers until I tried it and saw how well it works. I think in addition to your classes there should be one for heavy weapons/anti-air support, like I've got. A lot of people shoot down air support quickly now.

For CTF, this seems absolutely powerful. I have to admit that I have had a couple of good runs with the Riot Shield, myself, and in CTF it could be even more possible as a choice class.

Imagine an entire team of riot shield users, though, and then imagine they all know what they're doing. On some maps, that might as well be game on a stick.
