Modern Warfare 2: Tactical Nuke

To me, I hate the tactical nuke. It just ends the game. Way to ruin the fun for everyone else.
Thoughts? Opinions?

It's fine because you have so many chances to stop it so do it! It's not too hard. Use stingers, search for him, stay inside during chopper it's just so simple I don't understand why you would complain.

well i once got one when our team was on the brink of losing and turned the whole thing arround this way
but usually you are right, the team that gets a nuke is probably just kicking the shit out of the other one...

plus i play hardcore only, nukes are EXTREMELY rare there...

I played this game on my brothers rig, and after beating the single player 'story' I gave multiplayer a spin. After spending just under an hour and having been nuked twice I just laughed, and thanked my brother for saving me $60.00.

I stopped playing MW2, the entire game is boring to me. Except for spec ops.

OT: I hate nukes. They're too easy to get, since pretty much everyone uses harriers/chopper gunner. I especially hate the fact that IW put them in the game, since no one thought it was a good idea when it was being discussed.

The very Idea of a Nuke in a small skirmish is preposterous. In a multiplayer game that isn't DEFCON it's simply ridiculous. I'm glad they're hard to get.

But I do hate it when your about to win, and then some jerk on the other team who had it for a long time then uses it.

Absolutely this.
I know when I'm on the winning nuke team, it's not as fun as a close game. And when I'm on the losing nuked team, I'm just frustrated at how I've been playing and how my team has been playing, so I just want it over with.

The big problem comes with guys who are in party chat on opposite teams, who go off to meet in a corner to get nukes.
I remember once match where I found their 'meeting place', and kept crashing the party. It was hilarious. My 'teammate' kept trying to block my way so I couldn't kill the other guy, but I always did. I didn't get a great score that round, but the other team didn't get a cheap nuke so I was ok with it.

I think they're funny. Seeing that little countdown clock in the corner usually results in a bunch of "OH SHIT" being screamed over the mics. So Yes, Nukes are quite hillarious.

EDIT: Oh yea, and Rage Quits as well.

Just another reason why I hate this game. They are (acordinng to the fan boys) SO REALISTIC. yeah ummm.... a nuke is sorta not even alowed in warfare... I mean that rule doesn't stop jack shit but still if you nuke a place somthing tells me the civillians are going to be a little pist...because their home is sorta..gone...and they are dust. Anyways, I agree it just ends the game and totally destroys the concept of team work.

Too easy to achieve. You could just win by killing yourself 30 times. People would use it to ruin games.

the other day I played 5 games in a row where this one guy on the other team got a nuke every single game. Totally kicked our asses, but I didn't ever see anyone besides me running around with a stinger trying to stop it.
