battlefield was done perfectly... for the computer at least. the console versions sucked though

My standards are indeed high. Some people have compared me to all those annoying single ladies out there who bemoan their position in the realm of singledom yet complain when tall, dark and handsome men who have wallets the size of small towns and are hung like several very well hung horses, ask them out. Then they reject said man on the basis of a freckle on their eyebrow.

Back to the original topic. I don't know, the video is just too teasing and i find it difficult to get a real grip on what its going to be like. I shall look forward to the next trailer and i hope my high standards are blown out of the water!

I'm played cod 4 like a heroine addict. got rank 55 literally a couple days after I bought it. some things piss me off but overall its such a solid multiplayer game. not that bothered about singleplayer, but hope the multiplayer improves on cod4.

I'm sure it will be, this is Infinity Ward we are talking about - they've been pretty consistent.

BF2 was done right goddamit. It still is incredibly awesome.

Powerful narrative experience? It was like any Tom Clancy imitator. But its a game, it doesn't matter.

Wow, you know a game's done right when a 18 second trailer gets you hyped. Looks awesome. I'm looking forward to getting to level 55 again, as well as finishing Soap's story (assuming he comes back).

I'm very optimistic as I've loved all the other COD games they've developed. I'm just worried any kind of follow up could be an underwhelming experience, although it looks like Treyarch took that bullet for them. I'm just hoping that they can develop their storytelling techniques without resorting to any pointless gimmicks. With most other FPSs I'd be happy with an enjoyable few hours of gunning down baddies, but COD4 raised the bar so far, I have very high (probably unreasonable) expectations of them.

Was is a keyword, try shooting down a heli with missiles in BF2 today, good luck - they can spam flares every 8 secs or so (maybe more, but you get the point )
