Modern Warfare 3 is out in two days

Two years ago, I was eagerly anticipating Modern Warfare 2. I wasn't going to get it, then decided to, and didn't regret it.

I preordered Modern Warfare 3, but am deciding to get Skyrim instead. To be honest, I think I'm making the right decision. Nothing about Modern Warfare 3 is exciting me. Sure, it looks good, but it just doesn't attract me like Skyrim does. My excitement for MW3 just disappeared gradually, which is kinda surprising seeing as it's one of the more highly anticipated titles of this year (I'll probably get some disagreements for that).

So tell me, Escapists, are any of you eagerly waiting for November 8th to play some Modern Warfare 3? Or have you, like me, lost interest in the series and are waiting for something else?

I'm looking forward to being able to play it soon. Not to say that it's the only game I'm interested in. I'm pretty much picking up every major release this month.

I'm waiting for money to arrive so I can afford the avalanche of new games that are being released and have been released. Skyrim, SR3, Batman: Arkham City, MW3, Battlefield 3 all demand my attention, but I'm too poor to get any of them right now, let alone next year.

And to answer the question, I've not lost interest in the series, it's just not high on my list of games to buy right now.

I'm not saying I'm never gonna get it. I have asked for it for Christmas, but I won't be disappointed if I don't get it. I wanna see the end of Price and Soap's story, but am not as desperate to see that than to step foot in Skyrim.

Aye, but then its not out of the way for another 6 months. And then a month after that its in the way again until the next one launches, and so the cycle shall repeat itself until I blow my brains out.

Nope all my pennies will be going towards Skyrim this month, damn one of my best friends having his night out the day after release! This mean I lose two full days of Skyrim goodness!

Meh. I have to work Monday evening at a Gamestop. I'm not looking forward to that, though honestly I can't say how it will go. For all I know it could end up being fun. As for the game itself, I couldn't care less. Never been into Call of Duty. However, Skyrim is out in 5 days, which will cause me to cry tears of joy as soon as I pick it up.

It'll fill up the last few days before Skyrim nicely. No, I am looking forward to MW3. I loved the other MW games, and it's my yearly dose of big dumb fun. It probably won't be a good game, but it will be a fun game.

Since MW2 I've said I won't pick anymore of the games up. I got Black Ops and I probably will get MW3 at some point. I can't help myself.

Already finished Arkham City and Uncharted 3 so I'll pick up MW3 so I can't get bored for two days 'till Skyrim comes.

Well I'm getting MW3 tomorrow most likely, and I am looking forward to it. I am desperately hoping that MW3 is what MW2 should have been. Other than that I'll be getting Skyrim (hopefully). That depends on if my sister buys it. I'm choosing to buy MW3 instead of it because MW3 will have multiplayer with all of my friends. Simple as that. But if my sister buys Skyrim then I'll definitely be playing the hell out of that.

I wouldn't say eagerly waiting seeing as Skyrim is about to come out but I do intend to get it and find out if Soap, Price and Nikkolai can defeat the world.

Well, I'm eagerly anticipating MW3 - I can knock the campaign over in short order then I have the multiplayer to (hopefully) enjoy. Decided to skip Skyrim. I'll be busy enough with Assassin's Creed and Saints Row.

MW3 is definitely going to dominate a nice week of my time, but is going to take backseat to Saints Row when it comes out the week after.

I've been on the fence for a while, but thankfully I've decided against it. I'm sure I'll end up getting it eventually, but I got so sick of Black Ops that I decided I don't need more CoD right now.

Besides, Skyrim and SR3 are coming out, and I've still got Arkham City, Uncharted 3, Rage, Resistance 3 and Infamous 2 to finish.
