Don't know about you guys, but I am pretty excited. I just want to wrap up the storyline here and never buy another CoD game again.

Pfft, you can have your Modern Warfare 3. It will seem like a thumb-sucking infant when everyone sees the grandness of Battlefield 3.

I've got mixed feelings. I like the modern warfare style (loves me my high-tech toys) more than the WWII or Vietnan-era style, but Black Ops is everything I've wanted in a CoD game sans spec ops. If it's being made by Treyarh (kinda doubt it though), I'll give it a shot, but most likely I'll be sticking with this, especially if I hear that anyone from what was IW is going to be involved.

I'll probably end up buying it just cause my friends will buy it but i'm sure the single player will still suck ballz... Until they learn how to pace the game properly anyway.

And i really can't see how the multiplayer can change at all, you might as well keep playing Black Ops if you're only in it for the Multiplayer

Eugh, not what I wanted to hear (was also too lazy to read that article at first, foot in mouth for me but I read it now :X), I will hope for the best, I suppose. Maybe IW will look back to what happened in MW2 and will work towards a better game, specifically in balance and post-game community support. Thank you for pointing that out to me.

I think that the game (MW2) was balanced as well as the inherent game concept could allow. What ruined it for me was that that core concept of gameplay trivialized my personal skill and contribution while simultaneously punishing me for the failures and rewarding me for the successes of others. Even then the game had it's moments of joy that were eventually utterly ruined by exploitation of various bugs in the game.

MW2 was, all told, such an unpleasant experience by the end that I don't think I'm going to purchase another CoD title. If they're very lucky, I might rent the game to play the campaign so that I can see if the storyline unravels entirely or finds a way to wrap up coherently.

That was actually the reason I was pleased with COD Blops' MP... for the first few months... now, im never buying another COD again.

Oh but it would be buggier than any other COD. They haven't been working on that game for long time enough, I mean I'm pretty sure they spend like more than one year at least 2 working on those games, but anyway

I'm good with KZ3. I wasn't into FPS until about a year ago. I looking towards Uncharted 3 and socom. Besides it be crap on the PS3 (compared to 360) even though I wonder if it'll look as good as KZ3. These aren't facts just my opinions.

Looking forward to seeing how they wrap up the story. Wouldn't it be interesting if, in one level you play as Rameriz hunting down Soap and Price, and then in the next level you play as Soap trying to escape from Rameriz and the Rangers? To make it more challenging (or perhaps just a trophy) you aren't allowed to kill any U.S. soldiers.
Another reason I'm looking forward to the story is because I want to see what I'm right about based on information from Modern Warfare 2.

And the Hype Machine chugs along...

I would have to see some ridiculous over-the-top reviews explaining the fiery-tits that make up a reason to buy another CoD title.

I should just make "Call of Duty 4 is still the best and we should all still be playing that online" as my signature.

you're buying a CoD fro the story? you would actually stop buying CoD games once this story thread is wrapped up? i'm sorry. i dont get that. maybe its cuz they kill all the faceless, mute main characters routinely that makes me completely uninvested in the stories.

I'm excited to see where they take MW 3, especially considering the Great IW Purge after MW 2. I don't know what everyone's beef is with the story. Yeah its kinda clichéd but I liked it nonetheless.
