I could/would dig the thing, but John Carpenter did ALOT with what he had and he made the Thing a GREAT movie, still scary etc.

Nightmare of Elms street could be good for a remake.

Evil dead, lol

D
Both are getting remakes presently

I'd love to see a remake of

Blackhole (the 70s disney one)
Warriors
Dambusters
Great Escape
Zulu (oh man with todays money, that film would be even better)

It is truly hard to think of a film to be remade, how can you make better a film you already think of as great?

Highlander. Go through the script and hammer some of the dents out, polish elsewhere and go into depth with some other things, and you have yourself there a classic turned legend turned EPIC.

For instance, I Am Legend needs it. They should start over. That was a good rough draft but let's hammer it down for the final copy!
actually it was a remake of The Last Man on Earth which was remade as Omega Man, the original one with Vincent Price was awesome
Actually they are all adaptions of the novel "I am Legend" by Richard Matheson, not really remakes of each other, each time someone tried to make the novel in a book and they each had their own ideas.

A remake of Red Dawn would certainly be goddamn awesome. I wanna see a remake of The Good That Bad and the Ugly, my favorite movie EVER.
No way there are just somethings that you just leave alone because it's as good as it's ever going to get. There is no possible way the The Good, The Bad and the Ugly can get any better.
This be true, I don't know what I was thinking.

Sorry, I guess my point was that they weren't drawing from the previous works, it was diferent similar works based from from the one original source material.

I love people mentioning Red dawn, when MGM has stated they are making a remake.

I'd have the prequel starwars movies remade to not suck.

What's a moive?

I'm not a big fan of remakes. On the other hand though, I'd like to see Max Payne done justice. The movie did not capture the spirit of that game at all.

Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay and make it as good as the game.
This is one of the few cases where the game wildly exceeds the quality of the movie.

Uh...The Super Mario Brothers Movie
I mean, it wasn't horrible...but there are a lot of things technology today could improve on. I dunno, that was the first one that came to me
i really liked super mario bros movie and it would be awesome if they remade it and changed some of the ideas behind it!!!

NONE. Remakes suck monkey balls. As in Psycho = so wrong. The Day The Earth Stood Still = Even more wrong! It is all a tragedy. Suckywood cannot make new ideas so they rape old ones.
