Actually, just about everyone who ever enters my room at any point is about guaranteed to somehow knock the 360.
Even in cases where it is not logically possible.
Good thing there is a place near me that can repair discs for like five euros each.

I'd recommend borrowing a copy from someone and then saving it to your hardrive (if you have enough memeory) Then place your scratched disk in. It should work normally again.

Had mine standing for 3 years, none of my discs are messed up.

My router broke my copy of MW2. Well, by broke, I mean prevented me from playing online. I've completed single player, and done as much of spec ops as I could with a housemate before it got ridiculous (kill 10 juggernauts using only explosives... Not gonna happen), so it's now essentially useless. Stupid NAT setting, changing to strict for no reason...

OT: My friends game case broke his copy of MW2. Goddamn Eco-Box bullshit. He can't play on Quarry anymore, but he hates that map anyways.

Nope, if the disc still works just live with it.
If it dies you've just got to get a new disc, the scratches are caused by the disc drive's eye striking the disc, which happens when you move the Xbox, there's nothing you can do about it. If you want you could try a disc doctor or similar, but they don't work on deep scratches.
If it does it again without being moved you're Xbox's disc drive is buggered and you need a new console, this is a known error on 360's so watch out for that.

In future, lay your Xbox flat, you avoid this and a few other problems entirely if you lay it down flat instead of standing it on it's end.
